Our European friend "M" has also informed us about a BRAND NEW ON THE MARKET Air ride suspension kit that is being offered by an aftermarket company here in the USA.
This kit looks like this-
It claims to be complete at a cost of $1295.00 and includes everything needed. I have installed many air suspensions in the rear of American vehicles to help allow big slicks and such, however I have never seen anything like this before on the W126. I am curious how it would feel installed considering most air ride kits use air bags in or as the coil spring. This kit places air bags between the shocks. I am unsure the ride quality however from the looks of it you could easily raise or lower the front and back to your own preference. Should anyone be interested in this kit and need installation we would be willing to perform this install at our facility for a fair price just so we could offer the conversion install photos on our private web workplace. If anyone has already installed this kit and would like to share your thoughts we would welcome anything you could tell us about it.
Kit sells for $1295.00 and according to the website it was just released for sale to the public Wednesday November 21st 2007.
If you are interested in this kit the link to the company who sells it is- http://airbagit.com/product_info.php?products_id=3694 We have not done any business with this company, nor have we purchased any of these kits. Therefore we can not say good or bad about it other than it looks really cool. What do you guys think about putting air bags between the shocks?
