The only reason you are doing well is because OweBama has things so screwed up.

If the economy was doing well people in your line of work would be dead slow. Everyone would be buying new cars rather than fixing the old ones.

It seems that much of what I say falls on deaf ears anyway.

Now days things like honesty, hard work, truth and keeping a promise is out of style.

GM and Chrysler are making Bankruptcy look fashionable. Gone are the days of working things out because the banks and lenders obviously have more to gain with a total loss thru Bankruptcy, rather than working with the folks whom owe them.

What does that say for this nation? When a bank feels that a discharge is better than getting paid? I guess this is because they have always known that the government would bail them out, with all the hard earned money they will take from people whom have honestly worked hard to tell the truth and keep their promises.

I hate having to even pay attention to politics; however every time I turn around it seems to have a profound impact on the quality of life for everyone whom resides here in the USA.

I think life consist of a series of damned if you do, and damned if you dont decisions. I am sure its been like that since back in the cave man days, however it seems that now days being a back stabbing, and a self serving liar is about the only way you will get ahead.

Oh well, being "In-Style" is NEVER something I really gave two shits about.

Well everything was going OKAY up until Obama started effing around. What a complete joke his Cash for Clunkers program was! I bet the damn thing will FAIL!

Seems that every since this program come out, it has had an adverse effect on business with regards to repairs, sales of used parts and just over all everything else.

I still cant believe that they require the engines to be blown up, however its cant be any more ignorant than spending money that we dont have, only to give it back to the Asian car makers whom already get tax breaks. Yeah thats right... I said it... The top 8 cars on the program were Toyota and Honda. So how does that work anyway? We borrow money from China, only to give it back to them in the form of auto-sales? Yet we are still on the hook for the money?

Man this shit has got to come to a stop. I hope we vote out the idiots in the next election.

I went on vacation on July 28th, (My Birthday). When I got back August 4th, I found out the program started July 27th officially. Since that time mine and many others in the business has completely come to a screeching halt. NO BULLSHIT.

Why? Because of this ignorant program that happens to fall right before all the kids starting back to school.

What am I saying? Anything that will have this profound of an impact so early on, is BOUND to be a mess of red tape for many years to follow.

I will explain now, since I owe at least that much.

I will admit that my business involves the Service and Repair of vehicles and the used parts sales of particular makes and models. Now some may find my views biased, and I will agree that possibly this is why Im much more passionate about this issue than say, someone whom just got $4500 off a new car for an absolute POS they traded that was most likely just sitting out back near death anyway, insured as a primary vehicle to offset insurance rates on their other NEWER full coverage vehicle. Keep in mind the vehicle must RUN, have been insured, plated and registered for a YEAR.

Obama pitches to the lower/middle class and this program is more geared for people with good credit and more money to put down. Keep in mind I did not get $4500 from the government when I drew against my Gas Guzzling F250, but hey, I can also admit that I feel left out of this "Free Money" because I would never have purchased any of the death traps qualified under the program. Not to mention my Gas Guzzling cars that DID qualify for the so called "Clunker" laws were all top of the line S class Mercedes Benz in very good condition.

So yeah, It was a catch 22 for me and I have to let the deal pass, because it offers me nothing I wish to own, however I would like my piece of that $4500 rebate, but since my views and opinions differ from the messiah Obama, I will not get that perk.

Now that I have pointed out my bias, allow me to go into detail about whats wrong with the program and what I would have done differently.

WHAT IS WRONG

(1) The program has too much bureaucracy. The red tape for this project will likely bleed the fund down substantially just to administer and over-see
(2) The actual 130 page proposal has been edited more times than WIKI.
(3) The offer discriminates against citizens that do not wish to buy a new car, rather than being distributed to ALL citizens.
(4) It sets dealerships up for a fall should there hungry salesmen whom been starved for the past year tries to "Run one thru" for a good customer.
(5) DESTROYS VEHICLES in such a profound way it almost signals a flag "HELLO STUPID!" Do you know what it took to make 666,666 vehicles?
(6) Gets Americans whom are not clear of the bad economy into more debt, as the chance for "Saving" the money is not available without spending money. A new automobile will depreciate the down payment and credit amount usually the moment it rolls off the lot.
(7) Program was set up to help auto makers, but its helping Asian auto makers more. Why? Maybe because they have more money to sit on the Clunker money. Maybe folks were not too sure about Ford, GM and Chrysler anymore? Who knows but American cars held only two spots on the top 10 cars sold.

WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE - (Answers to all 7 listed above)

(1) The program/stimulus should have been streamlined into the tax refund like Bush did, Incorporated with an annual filing and many tax professionals already in place there would be little burrocratic overhead in excess of the "Norm"

(2) Had a SOLID and definate plan in place and STICK TO IT.

(3) None of this lets make it up as we go along, take what we give you, jump thru hoops because this is a socilized society that ensures that no one will have more than you. Unless dont agree with our ideas, and such you will be exempt from any "Benefits" afforded to others whom do share the current regimes views.

(4) How can you trust a starving industry desperate for sales with 3 billion dollars? You know some people are going to get burnt bad on this deal trying to get what they feel should have have been open to anyone, without strings. Refer to #1 for what I would have done to fix this problem.

(5) They are just giving the cars to recycling yards, which have six months to strip and sell ANY PART so long as its not a "Whole" and KEEP the money. Either way the car MUST DIE. WTF? Divide the max pay out of $4500 by $3,000,000,000 and that explains the true intent of this program.

(6) Pretty arrogant of Obama to get at least 666,666 more people into loans, knowing the unemployment rate is still in the tank, with no end in site. Refer to number #1 for my response on how I would have avoided this.

(7) Program was based of a German program. However in Germany they realized it was GERMANY that was in trouble and not the rest of the world. So they said "ONLY GERMAN MADE VEHICLES QUALIFY" and thus the GERMANS were the ones who seen all the money. Not the Asians or Americans. Of course we have our buddy Bill Clinton to thank for that "NAFTA". With that there is no way we could have helped ourselves like Germany, and thus 666,666 more people will just fall into more debt, repos will increase, and folks wont be able to drive. One other thing to consider is that Germany stated that the cars must be RECYCLED... CRUSHED... No scalping the parts for the salvage yard. I cant offer any form of repair for #7 but to refer to #1.

1st....... This is not my job. I dont get paid for making you look like an idiot.

2nd.... Banks have no money, they are insolvent. I BROKE a local bank once trying to cash a measly $18K check, DRAWN OFF THEIR BANK. So spare me bitch

3rd..... Cars were sold? I am hearing reports that the government hasnt made good on their $4500 payments, thus technically they may have been sold, but not paid for. What does that tell you?
