Most recently a forum member here by the name of Grafdesign donated to us a very unique 560 SEC coupe imported from Japan.
While the vehicle (SEC) may see the road once more, the engine and transmission he also donated will certanly see the road in our black 560 SEL project that has been on the donor list for quite some time.
The monsterous 5.6 liter Euro Spec engine rated at near 300 HP was removed prior to our taking delivery and I while I dont want to steal his thunder, the project he is working on is sure to be a unique sleeper/monster.
I just wanted to say thanks to Grafdesign and his family for helping us make a few of our dreams a reality! We are very grateful and hope that one day soon we can return the favor.
I dont know if I mentioned it already; but I wanted to say "Thank you"!

P.S. Here are the last known photos of the Euro Jap 560 SEC import before she was put down by members of the Motor Werks Mob. Perhaps if the cards fall right we can bring her back to life as a radical street rod. I got a feeling its going to be a sweet summer 2010! Did I forget to say Thank you? If so, allow me to say "Thank you".

After I had Motorwerks take out the engine and transplant it into my SEL I just couldn't bear seeing it go to the crusher. I knew you really wanted it when we last talked and knew if you got your hands on the carcass she'd live once again - one way or another. Yes '09 was a real bummer getting my very rare Gen 2 Euro SEC totaled by some A-hole hit and run driver. They made less than 400 SEC Euros in 91 to put the loss into perspective. I had big hopes for the car and had half a garage full of various AMG bits, a new leather interior and a host of cosmetics from burlwood shifters to Euro lenses. The real kicker is that I was just one week away from putting her up for the winter for a cosmetic makeover with a genuine Gen 2 AMG body kit (crazy rare) and total re-spray. That body kit in now going to a friend of mine in CA were it will live on one of the nicest SEC's in the country.
I'm hoping for a better 2010 when the SEL finally takes shape. The stealth Euro engine in the sedan is a real inspiration and a great incentive to take that car to the next level. Satish from Motorwerks is a genius when it comes to our cars and I am grateful he was able to salvage the engine, power train in order to make a very unique SEL. Now the fun begins with paint, suspension revitalization, various cosmetic tweaks and a killer sound system. I want to be on the road in the spring and March will be here before we know it!
Have fun with it and keep me posted! I'd be interested to see what you come up with.
What we have here is a real Mercedes Hero. Without your help I know of two Mercedes that would have otherwise sat without hope. There is no need to thank me for the kind words, as you are truly deserving of them.
It is an awful shame what happend to the SEC. I was totally un-aware of the limited number of Euro 560 SEC's but I know it must have made you sick. I dont know that she will see the road this year, but I do have plans to make something of her. Regardless what happens she will feel at home with lots of other Mercedes.
I agree Satish has a proven track record of doing great things with these vehicles. His willingness to retrofit your Euro EZL to work in a US vehicle is proof the guy is hard core. Motor Werks is like a giant toy store for men crawling with all kinds of exotic creatures.
Your SEL will be quite the sleeper and is very clean inside and out. I can understand why you wanted to retain the Euro EZL and I know that the extra power from the dual exhaust and bigger canmshafts will offer much enjoyment for the entire family nestled in the SEL.
One thing is for sure... When the SEL is done I would love to go for a ride!
Thanks again, and done hessitate to let me know if you need any help.

Well I got the beast back here last night. I had to really husstle to get everything handled, but when someone offers you a gift like this, you dont drag your feet.
Since my truck is being worked on I had to run out to Walled Lake to borrow a friend of mines truck. Apparently one of the guys there said my friend was working at the Novi store, so I drove to Novi only to find that the person I was looking for was really back at the Walled Lake store! LOL, I mean there was a guy working in the Novi store with the same name as my friend, but it wasnt him! LOL They felt bad and topped off my windshield washer resivor for free, they even offered me a free oil change but I had to decline since I am the only person whom is permitted to touch the 560 in that way.
Anyway as I handed off my keys for the 560 to borrow a 1994 Ford Ranger and hurried off to Motorwerks. I met up with Billy at his desk surrounded by $200,000+ exotic super cars and he got me the shop hand whom helped me load the 560 SEL engine and transmission into the truck. They had a diffrent kind of cherry picker than I was used to and I placed the locking pin in the wrong hole, this caused the cherry picker to tilt and the engine litterally ATTACKED an old 350 Chevy engine core that was sitting next to it. Embarassed I said "Did you see that Mercedes engine attack that Chevy motor?". It was at that time Billy took off as it was getting dangerous (lol). After getting the engine and transmission in the back of the truck I got the oppertunity to meet Satish. Very nice guy, but I thought he would have been much older. He may just age well, but he was real nice and it was an honor to meet a real W126 ledgend in the flesh. After that the shop hand took me over and showed me Satish's V12 SEC and it was just like in the photos... Absoultly a flawless install. Mercedes-Benz themselves could not have installed it any better. Anyone who is ever in Commerce Michigan should go down and check out Motorwerks. It is truly an insperation.
After all meet and greet it started getting late and I still had to get the tow truck to pick up the Japan Euro Spec SEC carnage. I quickly returned the truck to my friend with the engine left in the back because there was no way I could make it home to drop it off, and back to Motorwerks in time to pick up the SEC. Finally got back to motorwerks and the sun was going down, called AAA to come pick up my car while the seat heaters on my SEL kept my bum warm. The person at AAA asked me what was wrong with the vehicle, I told him it wouldnt start. He then asked me if it just needed gas, I paused, knowing Satish and crew pretty much stripped the entire car I replied that I was 100% positive that gas was not the problem.
45 Minutes later the tow truck arrived. I had my flashers on so he could see me, but once he got close enough he soon realized what was up. He moaned and groaned about there being no engine, transmission, doors, or front clip but an Andrew Jackson later she was up on the flat bed.
Drove home and met up with my friend with the truck and unloaded everything. Tow truck driver was cool as hell and dumped it right in front of the garage door for me. It was now near 10pm and I decided to use one of my Christmas gift certificates for Outback Steak House (Aulstrailian steak house) to get some dinner. Chowed down and slept like a baby the rest of the night.
Once again I would like to thank everyone at Motorwerks for their time and help, and an extra big shout out to Graftdesign whom made this all possible! Thanks a lot man! Now its time for me to get to work!

Laugh all you want Stoma, but we have selected the "Silver Dragon" to be our company mascot. I think we can expect to see some creative ideas with the sole purpose being HORSEPOWER and SPEED.
