How many here feel that the most recent top secret documents that were leaked and then posted on WikiLeaks.org were purposely leaked in an effort to kill Net Neutrality?
How does everyone feel about the fact that the Obama Administration is trying to snuff free speech when it comes to the documents they were unable to keep top secret?
Can the timing of the Democrats attempts to kill Net Neutrality and the most recent documents leaks that have been posted on WikiLeaks.org have anything to do with one another?
Given the fact that ALL of this documents are already circulating on the Internet, do you feel that your right to view them should be snuffed? Do you feel that the people overseas who have already copied all of these documents should be the only ones that have access to it?
How about the fact that the government strong armed Amazon to kick WikiLeaks off their servers? What happens when something else comes along of importance that the government does not want us to know? Will this be the end of free speech? Will it be the end of free journalism?
One can only wonder, but the fact remains that something big is about to happen.
Where do you stand? Have YOU visited the WikiLeaks.org website? Do you feel that in doing so and reading information that for all intents and purposes is now public knowledge should place you in a position of treason?
Getting a little scarry.... LET US NOT FORGET THESE LEAKS HAPPEND ON THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATIONS WATCH!
You are back-asswards in a specticular way when it comes to your view on who's trying to kill net neutrality. I'm going to sit back in the bushes for a while and just watch you step on your dick some more. :)
Not only am I a better mechanic than you PowerStroker, I also just happen to have more knowledge and experience with computers and inter-web platforms.
Of course it would be nice if you had an opinion about the topic at hand, but that would just be too much to ask from a dealership tech.

I agree with you about the guy who copied the files being charged with treason 100%!
I didn't know he copied them on a Lady Ga-Ga video thou! That chick is fucking... Eh... Never mind I like my dick too much to say it, but in case you never seen her..
Oh and by the way... Everything is Obama's fault! He's the President! Isn't that how it was when Bush was President?

Well...Well...Well... PowerStroker, your boy Obama is telling Americans that while the rest of the world can read WikiLeaks that we should not!
NEW YORK With tens of thousands of U.S. diplomatic cables still to be disclosed by WikiLeaks, the Obama administration has warned federal government employees, and even some future diplomats, that they must refrain from downloading or even linking to any.
I would like to change my possition on this issue after reading what another forum member by the name of maine_coon posted.

Assange is a criminal and an enemy!
Assange is also a well known computer hacker that lives by the credo of "Dont damage computer systems you break into (including crashing them); dont change the information in those systems (except for altering logs to cover your tracks); and share information" which to me is a slimy low life thing to do. Hearing him talk about altering logs to cover your tracks just makes me want to beat his skinny litte ass into a bloody pulp.
He also stated that he is "Proud" to be called a hacker. To me hacking is no diffrent than breaking into someones home PERIOD! We could all be hackers, spending out time trying to find weaknesses to systems and spoofing credentials.
The guy in my eyes is a PUNK. He should have handed back the information he got from the person who stole it.
He should be arrested and sentenced before he is permitted to hack and steal other peoples propriety. He should also be made to stand trial for the rape in Sweden.
With regards to my first post... It bothers me to no end that other nations are reading our top secret documents yet we are told we should not. It only bothers me because I would rather not FEEL like I am being denied something that others can view freely. That and I worry that over time the leaks could be exploited or altered to advance the offenders agenda.
My advice to Assange? STAY THE FUCK OUT OF OTHER PEOPLES BUSINESS! YOU ARE NOT A REPORTER! YOU ARE NOTHING MORE THAN A THEIF AND A HACK!
Also I should tell him "LOOK THE FUCK OUT AND WATCH YOU BACK PRICK! WE ARE COMING FOR YOU!"

Eh, I'm kinda torn on the issue. I think Wikileaks should at least black out the names of any covert operatives and US sympathizers who are at great risk should their identities ever be found out. If Wikileaks did that, I would have no problem with them shining a little sunlight on things, even if those things aren't exactly flattering to the US. Sunlight after all, is the best disenfectant, and hopefully will help keep people honest.
Julian Assange should stand a fair trial for the sexual misconduct case, and any actual hacking that he has done. As I understand this specific issue though, it was a US military officer who copied these files and gave them to Wikileaks. I find much more fault with the treasonous leak within the US military, than I do with the person who publishes the leaked information for all to see.
No I would still be upset, I'm just saying the worse offense is from the guy at the State Department who was a trusted public servant, and paid with our tax dollars and betrayed us anyway.
As frustrated as I have been with Julian Assange, he turned himself in this morning which merits a sizable amount of respect from me and goes a long way towards my feelings that he might not be guilty of what Sweden is charging him with.
I no longer think he is a punk, and dispite his hacking and secret sharing ways I have a great deal of respect for the man!
This is going to be a great distraction for Obama and the Democrats as everyone is now wondering what will become of Julian Assange.

I guess WikiLeaks is going to sue Visa, MasterCard and hopefully PayPal as well for cutting off their card processing ability. While I myself wouldn't mind suing PayPal I can't say that I am surprised to hear that PayPal cut them off, as a favorite pass time for PayPal is holding and sitting on other peoples money. However I never expected this move from Visa or MasterCard. Many are making claims that the Government has lobied these companies to make such a decision, which if true would be a gross over-reach of authority any way you slice it considering that Visa and MasterCard currently accepts donations to the KKK and the far right British National Party.
While Julian is tied over for a week until he can get his extradition hearing I am seriously wondering what is taking the Obama administration so long to make their move. If it's taking this long to think up a way to charge WikiLeaks then I cant say I am very confident they even have a case.
Without a doubt all of this controversy makes me really want to read what they have on WikiLeaks, but at the same time a part of me thinks it could be a bad idea given the fact that I am an American and god knows what the current Administration could end up cooking up.
I am also very seriously wondering if WikiLeaks has some killer "Bomb shell" documents that they are holding over the governments heads, and maybe that is why the government is not pursuing the charges. Either way it's not making me feel very comfortable knowing the government might have some secrets that are so awful bad that some guy like Julian could extort us.
Very strange, yet at the same time this issue is a very suspensful story that keeps me changing my mind, which is to say that I feel diffrently the more and more I find out.

Julian Assange isn't an American citizen, and thus it isn't exactly treason to do things that harm the US government. He may be breaking some laws, but the jurisdiction of those laws could be questioned.
The US State department official on the other hand who gave the information to Wikileaks is a traitor, and that's where our anger should really be directed anyway.
I am nothing less than amazed at any 'Muricans that complain about Obama... Your alternative involved a man 70something... one heart attack away from making Sarah Palin your president.

And yes, Canada isn't much better... with any number of political parties (I'm a small 'c' conservative though the rhinocerous party is attractive), we will never ever have a clear majority government....

You know Pogo, I honestly feel that if McCain had been elected President, none of this would have happened. I also think that Americans electing Obama as President was a huge waste of money considering the fact that he's so young he'll be sucking off the Government teat for MANY more years that McCain EVER would have.
I also have little doubt that Sarah Palin would have been able to lead our country should have anything happened to McCain. What you fail to realize is that ole' John McCain is still kicking today and I would much rather have the country under Palins leadership than that of our current uncharismatic vice President.
With all that said it brings me to my next question...
What's become of the Wiki-Leaks founder? He has all but been stomped out of the media. Amazing how quickly this man has been silenced from the American media. It was damn near a frenzy that has all but been snuffed from our media.
Kind of spooky if you ask me.

Finally some hacker and leaker accountability!

Yeah, I have soured on Assange since this thread started. Way too much hacking going on these days. His quality of life hasn't been that great the past few years being stuck in the embassy, but it's about to get even worse.
The United Mistakes of America.... the worlds largest outdoor insane asylum....
This pretty-much sums-it-all-up !
