Not only does Glen Beck think this is the best speech President Obama has ever given, he actually started referring to him as "President Obama" after hearing it.
The part that really hit me, was when he started talking about 9 year old Christina at the 30 minute mark. Even if you don't want to watch the whole thing, at least start it at the 30 minute mark and watch the last 4 minutes.

Yes, ole' Obama is living up to his democtatic mantra,
What a great opportunity for him to get back into campaign mode! The man should be impeached for using this tragedy in an effort to further his political aspirations.
Empty suit! Total BS that I am almost positive he wrote little to none of. Wind bag.
Sorry Obama, I didn't fall for your BS the last time, and I am not falling for it in 2012. I hope most of the nation will wake up! We need a leader, not a speech reading bullshitter.
You need one of these t-shirts PowerStroker

He actually went off script in a few parts of his speech. As I understand it, he usually writes a rough draft of what he wants to say, then gives it to his speechwriter who then polishes it, then gives it to the White House communications director to go over it, then back to Obama for final approval.
I wonder if Bush ever even wrote a rough draft for any of his speeches. I also wonder how it is when a guy like Glen Beck and the Fox News pundits, who usually find something to complain every time about, were floored by the speech, buy you still find reason to hate him... What kind of fringe nut job does that make you? Perhaps time for more self reflection Rex?
It was you who said the 9 year old's story was the most tragic, but when President Obama makes her the highlight of his speech, and a call to action that we work together to make America live up to our childrens' expectations, you're still not satisfied. Why so cynical Rex? What would you have said differently?

PowerStroker, the only thing Obama did by making a speech in the Arizona basketball stadium was DISCRACE the people who died as he pitched his BS.
Shut up already PowerStroker, this guy should have stayed in Washington and wrote letters to the family, but NO, he had to go and make a big campaign out of it.
I can read people, and he was not sincere at all. He fed off the crowds reactions and increased pitch and tone when they were buying into his lines. I could not have been more disgusted by his efforts to use the death of a 9 year old girl to advance his agenda.
Is Obama's job to run this country or is it to deliver eulogies? Why doesn't Obama spend all his time going state to state in an effort to speak at everyone's funeral? Because he knows how to pick them, and he knew this one had the following of the Media.
I have lost hope in you PowerStroker. You are a sucker.

Did he say some comforting things to the families that were going thru a tragedy? Yeah he sure did.
Did he say some things that made him look like a hypocryte? Yep.
Sorry PowerStroker, there is no way I could trust Obama with another term. As much as he has slacked off and made poor use of his time there is absolutely NO WAY we could trust him with another 4 years, where as he could really give a shit because of term limits. I am pretty sure most people are just trying to instate damage control until such time we can vote him out of office.
I am afraid his speeches do very little to improve the real problems that imperial this nation, some would go so far as to say if he was doing his job he would have never had to make that speech, because the Arizona massacre would have never happened. Obama did a real fine job of getting us all to turn on one another. I guess everyone forgets his campaign. Obama is just like every other snake in the grass lawyer I have ever known. A pure reptile.
I am sorry PowerStroker, all this vitriol, animosity and partisanship is Obama fault. It has trickled down from the top.

I just read about this dude from Michigan that killed his two kids and his wife. Shortly thereafter he killed himself in the parking lot of Walmart. It happened about 15 miles from where I am at too!
Can we expect Obama to be here to comfort us all with a nice eulogy?
Oh yeah, that's right... There isn't enough media coverage to merit a eulogy from Obama. Since no "important" people were killed the media does not want to be bothered with covering the story 24/7. Just goes to show.
Damn shame what happend to this family PowerStroker, check out the link.
Boehner had no right to be there, just like Obama.
I watched a few of his speeches at the basketball court in Arizona.. Obama has some of the biggest shit eating grins at most ever inappropriate moments. I can best describe his facial expressions as "Man these people are actually buying my bullshit once again". Pathetic.
What lies? Everything out of Obama's mouth is a lie... If his lips are moving... You know the rest.
You failed to mention why Obama and the media did not pour all over the death of a Michigan family. Were they not important? Two kids got killed PowerStroker, yet I don't see any plans from Obama to come here and read a eulogy. It just puts things in perspective.

So, did you even watch the last 4 minutes of his speech starting at the 30 minute mark, or do you hate Obama more than you care about the 9 year old girl?
The last 4 minutes: __________________________________________________________________
"That's what I believe, in part because that's what a child like Christina Taylor Green believed. Imagine: here was a young girl who was just becoming aware of our democracy; just beginning to understand the obligations of citizenship; just starting to glimpse the fact that someday she too might play a part in shaping her nation's future. She had been elected to her student council; she saw public service as something exciting, something hopeful. She was off to meet her congresswoman, someone she was sure was good and important and might be a role model. She saw all this through the eyes of a child, undimmed by the cynicism or vitriol that we adults all too often just take for granted.
I want us to live up to her expectations. I want our democracy to be as good as she imagined it. All of us - we should do everything we can to make sure this country lives up to our children's expectations.
Christina was given to us on September 11th, 2001, one of 50 babies born that day to be pictured in a book called "Faces of Hope." On either side of her photo in that book were simple wishes for a child's life. "I hope you help those in need," read one. "I hope you know all of the words to the National Anthem and sing it with your hand over your heart. I hope you jump in rain puddles."
If there are rain puddles in heaven, Christina is jumping in them today.
And here on Earth, we place our hands over our hearts, and commit ourselves as Americans to forging a country that is forever worthy of her gentle, happy spirit.
May God bless and keep those we've lost in restful and eternal peace. May He love and watch over the survivors. And may He bless the United States of America."
I am glad that's all a President has to say to make you feel all warm and fuzzy.
All Obamas hot air is not going to bring that little girl back. A very long time ago I thought MAYBE Obama was sincere, but now I realize he is full of shit to the core, and only ACTS like he cares when re-election time rolls around.

Well while the FCC is in British Columbia trying to do that (shut us down) they can have a coke and a smoke and chill the fuck out.
With regards to the Secret Service... Well that's another issue... I guess you didn't read my cell phone thread that stated "Does your cell phone transmit when not in use?", and then I always wondered what them black cars and trucks are doing parked across the street once in awhile. Every time I start walking over there they pull off in such a hurry it hurts my feelings!
Oh well... Good thing most people are too lazy to read now days... I hope..
