Well I figured PowerStroker would be in here reeling about it.
I myself did not watch it. I don't have the stomach anymore to tolerate Obama. I did however read about it and from what I read, I didn't miss much.
Apparently (From what I read) Obama opened up his state of the Union address by drawing on the sympathy of Gabby Giffords, I guess since his last speech went so well he needed to tap some of that spirit. I myself feel it was another case of not letting a crisis go to waste, and feel that it was done in bad taste. I guess Obama isn't aware that most Americans have internet and can follow her progress if they wanted.
I read on to learn that the middle portion of his speech was FLAT, meaning boaring. Not only that I guess he made no real efforts to outline exactly what he was going to do in order to fix the problems facing the nation. Just more hot air if you will, without any solid details or commitments.
I guess the end of his speech was a little more vibrant, where he called for everyone coming together, however it was clear that by having Republicans and Democrats sitting together it did nothing but put a hamper on the Democrats grandstanding, which I rather enjoyed hearing. While a jack ass would hop out of their seat to applaud and grand stand, the elephant would simply sit on his hands. I guess that little idea of the Democrats to mix up the seating backfired. Did they really think intelligent people would jump up and applaud a bad idea and a poor speech just because they were sitting by someone that was a brainwashed idiot?
I am pretty sure most of the nation is tired of the hot air.

And why is it that every state of the union address by Obama does he feel the need to pit other nations against us? Last time it was China, this time it was Russia! I mean does he really think Americans are ignorant? I mean how old was Obama when Sputnik went into flight? HE WASNT EVEN BORN! How the fuck would he know!?
It's no surprise he took the time to mention he will fight any repeal of the socialist Russia style health care law, after all that's exactly what the Republicans wanted him to say, because everyone knows that the health care law is uncostitutional and forcing people to buy something is not consistant with American values.
I also read about some hot air from Obama with regards to a high speed rail system, which by the way is a waste of money. He even tried to crack a joke about how it would be much safer and faster than air travel with the new TSA pat downs! Is that a slap in the face or what? Obama and his ilk are not subjected to TSA pat downs and wouldn't know his ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to that issue. Furthermore it would be ignorant for anyone to assume that there would not be security checks on a high speed rail system should it ever come to fruit. I guess he only pays attention to other nations when they one up us, or he would realize that a majority of their terrorist attacks are by way of rail.
Meanwhile Obama pleads with Republicans to move forward together, however none of the Republicans are interested in moving forward with more debt like Obama. The guy is just SPEND-SPEND-SPEND. The United States can not afford another Obama Presidency term.

Perhaps you should have watched his speech. He spoke about freezing federal discretionary spending for 5 years, and vetoing earmarks.
That's all Obama does is "Talk". I personally think earmarks are a good thing, but Obama and the Democrats lust for power would like to use that funding to hang over peoples heads, rather than guarantee them in the form of earmarks.
Unless ofcourse by debt you're refering to the tax cut for billionares that the Republicans got passed in the lame duck session.
You know I am getting tired of your idiocy. Since when is it considered "Adding to the debt" by not taking Americans money? Are you a fucking nut job PowerStroker? The way you try and imply that keeping taxes low is akin to wasteful spending in government is AMAZING. Here's a good idea you can relay to your party "QUIT FUCKING SPENDING MORE THAN YOU MAKE!" and that's some sound advice even YOU and everyone else could lean to live by.

Since always... It's expensive to run this country, taxes are the price of admission in a civilized society. As I have already told you, there is a Libertarian paradise called Somalia where you wouldn't have to pay any taxes. I'd even pay for your one way ticket.
It doesn't have to be expensive to run this country PowerStroker! There are FAR better ways.
Obama has run out of money already, the debt is nearly at it's ceiling! Now he wants more money... To that I say TOO FUCKING BAD, and many of my Republican brethren also feel the same. NO MORE MONEY OBAMA! WE HAVE THE PURSE!
He had better start figuring shit out, and lay off the vacations. You should also know that the cost for his flawed health care law aren't even factored into the debt yet. That's a little tender morsel that many fail to realize. Things are about to get very interesting, but not for the Democrats who got us into this mess.
I'd consider your offer for the plane ticket, but I know it would place you in a hardship position financially. Maybe after the 2012 elections, if you haven't been put out on the street, and still have a job, I might take you up on your offer.

There is a very good reason I do not judge my wealth in dollars PowerStroker.
There is also a very good reason I do NOT keep money in the bank.
You should also know that there is a very good reason I don't feel the need to be a big outfit, and just do enough to ensure I survive on around $11-12K (After deductions of course). You know I closed up shop in 2009 right? I might consider opening back up shop in 2012 depending on the outcome of the election.
See this is where you Dumbocratic plan is flawed PowerStroker... Your ideas of socialism and taking from the wealthy will only result in the over-acheavers like myself figuring out it's better to just hold back than have to give away everything to people who do nothing. Keeping my debt to income ratio as close to zero is Paramount, so when the Idiocrats are out of office it's only a year's hard work before I'm + $100K. In the mean time I just do as little as needed to ensure me and mine have the necessities.
After all, by the time Obama get's done printing money and stealing from the people a suitcase of American dollars wont even buy a loaf of bread. I'll be using C-notes to wallpaper my bedroom.
So as you work your little ass off and pay all them big taxes each month, just know that maybe .30 cents of every dollar you pay in taxes actually goes to a worthwhile cause, the rest goes to greed and corruption and yet they still want more, so much in fact they want to spend even MORE than they have, even though they know they have racked up 14.3 Trillion dollars. I am not paying for their fucking ignorance, and I am teaching my kids that they should not either.
Yeah... I have to make sacrifieces, but it's better than my hard earned money going to lazy ingrates.
So I don't go out to eat anymore... That's fine with me because everywhere is non-smoking.
So I have to drive a near 25 year old vehicle... That's fine because I am a mechanic and I have developed a appreciation for my vehicle that all of us feel it's part of the family.
So I don't have a huge home, that means I don't have to pay the huge taxes and utilities.
So I dont pay for a blazing fast internet connection and huge TV package, that's okay, the I can rent any DVD from the library for free and most of my favorite sites are web forums and don't require high speeds.
So I don't go to the movies, I don't want to support Hollywood every since some Jew got arrogant and claimed they owned Hollywood.
So I don't go on extravagant vacations, that's okay, I don't want my wife and kids felt up by TSA anyway. Plus I enjoy driving my 25 year old car, and if I don't have family to visit wherever I go, I really don't care to go there anyway.
So I don't have a huge bank account, that's okay, I got what I need and really long for nothing.
See all your Democrat ideas about how to tax and steal from others (Rich or Poor) will backfire soon enough. So you guys just keep on spending, it will come to a head soon enough.
If it bothers you PowerStroker.... TUFF SHIT! I don't collect unemployment, food stamps, or any other form of welfare. My only worry is the child tax credit that they will soon fade out, but that's okay... The people will only take so much. When the foreign debt collectors come a knocking the people will hand over the politicians responsible and kill any foreign countries army that tries to take this nation by force. Remember our little talk about the 2nd Amendment? Americans can't be held liable for crooked politicians who lied, cheated and caused this mess. They would have to light this nation up in a blaze of nuclear holicost to the point no one can have it. Sure we have to own up to our own obligations, but when the cheats resort to foul play all bets are off, and when we catch you it's gonna be your ass!

You said the owner of your shop owns some 10 dealerships. I think you need him more than he needs you, but he lets you think otherwise because he is a good business man.

I think he actually owns more than 10 dealerships, of which 2 are Ford Dealers.
Of all his Ford Diesel technicians, I'm without question the best. I'm marketable even in a tough economy... If he hates my politics so much that he'd rather see me leave, I'll thank him for yesterday and be on my way.
When my last dealership closed, I was in the middle of attending a training class in Iowa. I got no fewer than 3 phone calls at my hotel from a representative of my now employer as part of what became a successful effort to recruit me. Get that Rex, I hadn't even started looking for a new job yet, and I was networked enough, and had enough name recognition in my field that my new job found me.
Spare me dude... I get offers ALL THE TIME for local dealers wanting me to join their ranks. I throw them in the trash with the junk mail.
And while your other dealership closed, they prolly sold all their employee information to your current dealer, and that's why they knew you were in a hotel room watching porn. If you actually think about it, that's really the only way they would have been privy to that information.
Me on the other hand... Well I get offers from Manufatures to oversee people like you that try and scam them for over-laping labor charges. Be thankful Ford does not have me crawling up your ass and looking for ways to make you work for less. You are lucky that I choose to be self employed.
While confidence is a quality I look for in a worker, arrogance is a whole other thing. Arrogance is only acceptable when you really are "All that and a bag of chips". Working for the dealership, sucking off the manufacturers teat, and getting spoon fed implies you might be all that, but your lacking the bag of chips.
LOL

I am sure they would PowerStroker... Hell in 2009 you could buy Ford stock for $2 a share. Where were their ACES computers when they had to mortgage their socks with government help to the tune of several billion dollars? Oh that's right, not even I, nore the ACES computers could save Ford from their engineered obsoletion efforts that end up shooting them in the foot.

ACES stands for Automatic Claims Editing System. Warranty claims are submitted electronically and run through ACES to make sure there aren't any overlapping labor ops ect. It can autmatically edit claims to conform to Ford warranty regulations, it can also bounce a claim entirely, or forward it to a human for review.
It has nothing to do with the stock price of Ford motor company, which is doing just fine right now by the way.
I think it's safe to say Obama's state of the Union address wasn't so great, and had a pretty short shelf life, as we are now on to things like stock prices and ACES.
