My gawd man! 8.9 earthquake in Japan? Nuclear reactor in jeopardy of melt down!
Not good news... I sure hope they don't get any more aftershocks.
What are the odds of radioactive waste being carried all over the world? While I am a whole hell of a lot more certain the people in Japan will do everything they can to stop a melt down just think if something like this happened in Iran, where as they have been plagued with technical difficulties and apparently have no clue.
Thoughts and prayers go out to all the people of Japan. Perhaps it is a sick twisted coincidence that the name of city the reactor is located in is "Fukushima" as if to say "Fuck You for Hiroshima".
Let's hope they get it sorted. Seems the world has a vested interest in helping them.

Having not to be able to follow this story due to heavy work loads this morning is really the first time I have been able to view the devastation in depth.
Simply unbelievable! Some of the video feeds are so catastrophic they almost seem to look like an end of days movie. The day after tomorrow comes to mind, 2012, and several other movies that portray an unbelievable natural disaster.
From the videos and pictures I have seen this disaster is going to be a real mess to clean up. Still have not gotten any official numbers with regards to casualties but from what I read two days ago they were amazingly small for the seriousness of a 8.9 quake.

The number of confirmed dead is about 600 last I checked, but there are more than 9000 missing from one town still, and 4 passenger trains have disappeared. This isn't going to end well. I've already donated to the red cross, but there's no way my little donation is even going to impact anything. I would encourage all members of this site to help our neighbors in Japan with a donation also.
