So it appears we have another fat fuck who is dying to be made an example of.
I guess since Jimmy Jr made it to the ripe old age of 70 he figures going out in a blaze of glory is his destiny. Funny I never heard of this guy until today and I am pretty close to Detroit.
The guy must have kept a super low profile, but now for some reason he has crawled out from under his rock to make a name for himself. Strange he has been president of the Teamsters union for 10 years now, yet I never heard of him. Guess that explains his most recent statement directed at the Tea Party.
Its also no surprise he's in bed with dirty Chicago politics, but the real question is what does he think his statements are going to accomplish?
On January 9th 2011 PowerStroker said the following-
"One should never resort to violence to settle political differences. Though there has been no shortage of people in right wing media whom would tell you otherwise. Sarah Palin for example had a website depicting Congresswoman Giffords district with gun cross hairs on it. Sharron Angle spoke frequently of "second amendment remedies" as means to achieve a political end. So Rex, I would submit to you that in fact YES, the right wing media may have had an influence on these tragic events. It only takes one weak minded person, and there is no shortage of those who listen to right wing media."
Yet when Hoffa says to take out the tea party, and makes clames that the union is Obama's "army" at his disposal you cant seem to open your ass cheeks enough to get some of that Hoffa cock.
Well this ain't the 50's and I am sure the Tea Party (Well armed) would love nothing more than an army of lazy Union workers to use as target practice.
Your ilk are done come the 2012 elections. You can take that to the bank. It's all going to fall back on Obama since pretty much all the Union busting has taken place on Obama watch anyway. Obama should distance himself from Hoffa's remarks of face an electoral bitch slapping.
Sure sounds to me like he was "shooting" off his mouth.
"We didn't start this WAR -- the right did!"
"President Obama, this is your army, we are ready to march!"
"Take these son of-a-bitches out!"
I would be willing to say that yes, he is trying to form a "Mob" mentality with the underlying purpose of violence. It's in the words he chose to use such as "War", "Army", "March", "Take these Son of-a-bitches out".
What I find even MORE funny is the fact that the Teamsters union consist primarily of truck drivers, who traditionally are southern folks who align themselves with Tea Party ideals (small government, less taxes ect). Then you have the simple fact that every time I talk with a union member they have nothing but bad things to say about the union (usually getting stiffed or with lack of protection) and some even claim they "WISH" they could stop the union from taking dues from their paychecks!
In fact it's VERY-VERY rare that I find any union worker that has one nice thing to say about the union. The only one I did find that was union proud worked for a shipping company and he was a real pain in the ass to deal with. Always looking for a tip, harassing about a Christmas bonus and just overall a poor person to deal with. I fired that shipping line and found a non-union shipping line that does my shipping without all the poor service and expectation of being tipped. The only thing Hoffa's statements are going to do is make others think twice when it comes to who they choose what shipping company they use.
In this day and age no customer is going to tolerate that kind of bullshit. They are just simpily going to call on another shipping line to deliver their merchandice, if only out of spite for Hoffa's comments. I know thats what I have already done BEFORE Hoffa's big speech and that's what I will contenue to do from here on out.
Companies like UPS Freight are now on my blacklist, since they are represented by the teamster union. Here is a list of teamster divisions should you want to punish Hoffa the old fashioned way, which is to cut off their money.
Read up at this link how they shut down the USPS, which is now in the red and at risk of closing down all together! And thats not all! Here are a link to a list of companies that went out of business with Teamster unions http://www.1-888-no-union.com/teamstersoutofbusiness.html a lot of them large companies with over 10,000 workers!
So there you have it. Check out the Wiki link to see just how bad this union has screwed American business in the past. If you don't care for the service you get from Teamster laborers then just switch, like me you wont regret it.

You do realize I'm a Teamster right??? Proud member of Local 974.
By the way, the USPS going broke thing is a false problem manufactured entirely by Republican hacks.
The USPS is actually profitable and a very efficiant operation with a good relationship with it's employees. The problem came in 2006 when a Republican law was passed to intentionally hurt the USPS by forcing them to pre-fund the next 75 years of their healthcare plan in a 10 year window. No other government agency has that requirement... Hell, I can't even think of a private business that has such a requirement. So now, every dime they make in profit has to go straight in to their health care fund, and the same law prevents them from raising the price of postage above inflation.
The Republicans designed this law intentionally to destroy the USPS because they don't believe the government should be involved in any business that could otherwise be done by the private sector. So don't spout off to me about the USPS please.

You are!? Well then tell me, at them two jackass heads in the logo? Because it sure seems to fit the bill.

Well maybe you should click on the Wiki teamsters link and get the REAL scoop, instead of the manufactured story they send you in your little leaflets every now and again.

Now come on... We all know thats BS with the exception of the last part regarding postage not exceeding inflation.
The Republicans designed this law intentionally to destroy the USPS because they don't believe the government should be involved in any business that could otherwise be done by the private sector. So don't spout off to me about the USPS please.
Spare us all the lies... The only truth in your statement above is that the government has no business being in business. They need to stick to governing, not nationalizing every business out there. Talk about a monopoly and anti-trust issues! What the government has been doing is the ultimate monopoly.

I should also mention you failed to answer any of my statements in my response.
Given the fact your shop is a teamsters union I have no choice but to boycott your organization. Guess this means you wont be getting any of my business, not that you would have anyway.
Maybe your Republican owner will get smart and run your dealership into the ground to bust your union then re-open another. Bet he would come out ahead in the end.

Oh no, we've been trying to break in to the Canton Michigan market so hard.
Maybe your Republican owner will get smart and run your dealership into the ground to bust your union then re-open another. Bet he would come out ahead in the end.
He has about 10 dealerships of various makes, and ours is the only union shop in the bunch. Ours was union long before he ever bought the place so he knew full well what he was getting. He really is hostile to working class people though, so it's a good thing we're union. He ends up paying all of the other dealers what our union negotiates for us anyway... If he could get away with paying less, you'd better believe he would. You could say the teamsters have improved the standard of living for all of his non union technicians too, which is probably why you hate unions.
Well as long as you feel they are worth the money...
You don't feel that it's possible that some dealers could be making more? And that the union could be holding everyone else back? I mean if he uses the Union as a baseline for pay how do you know someone else couldn't get more?
Maybe because I am independent I just dont like anyone else negotiating on my behalf, and thats what bothers me about a union. I hear stories about union workers not wanting to be part of the union but stay a member for fear of retaliation. I myself do not have to work with a bunch of union workers day in and day out, so that intimidation is not in the back of my mind, however if it were I would probably get fired for kicking someones ass, or in the case they "Teamstered" up on me, getting my ass kicked.
