Biden, Cascase, Clinton... The old folks playa's club! LOL
The other night my wife asked me what I thought about Bill Clinton cheating on Hillary again... For a moment I thought I missed a breaking news headline... I asked "Who did Clinton get a blow job from now"? And she replied, "Obama"! LOL! All of this right after an Obama commercial staring Bill Clinton! LOL! You see, people don't forget and the first thing they think of when they see Clinton is a "cheater".
Time after time I hear Democrats say "Clintons cheating is his own business" and that REALLY creeps me out.

LOL !!! Obummer certainly owes Cliton big-time for that speech. I don't think a simple BJ is gonna cut the mustard on that one....
The funny thing is, that Cliton in reality **hates** Obozo, and it certainly showed from the "lackluster" speech that he gave in "support" of The One at the Dem convention. The Clitster's arguments about the country being better off than 4 years ago were so thin that you could get a papercut from them !
The fact of the matter is, that all Cliton really cares about is getting his wife elected in 2016 (which will really be a third "joint" Cliton presidential term). She's already announced that she's gonna quit her Sec of State job after the election, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist (i.e. even PowerStroker can do it) to know that she's gonna start building up for a presidential run in 2016.
So it's very likely it will be Romney vs. Cliton in 2016.
You saw Poppy Bush in person? Now there's a Bush who knew how to win a war efficiently. I thought he lived in New England??? Although he probably has multiple homes.
I never said the Kennedy's weren't a political dynasty, they exist on both sides. My point was that you or I could have have become president just as easily as George W if we had been born right. It goes to my greater point about people not being as self made as they think.
With regard to your Nazi statement, Joe Kennedy was a pacifist and didn't think fighting Hitler was a worthy use of our resources. What you may find even more interesting is Grandpa Bush was an active Hitler supporter:
I don't know if you respect the specific media outlet that published that article, but there are no shortage of similar articles from several other sources which make the same case. Google is your friend... Fox, not so much.

If you were truly being unbiased and objective in your opinions, you'd also make the statement that JFK (or any of his siblings/descendents/cousins) would never have gotten where they were/are if it hadn't been for Joe Kennedy and his mob connections, buying elections, and so forth.
You think the likes of Teddy Kennedy would have been a 40+-year senator if it hadn't been for JFK getting elected President and RFK (appointed attorney general & running for President) both taking a dirt nap? LOL !
Uhhh... Joe Kennedy was just a LITTLE bit more than a pacifist, LOL ! He was an appeaser and a defeatist ! And search Google about his Nazi sympathizer qualities !!
So a few questions about your "not being self-made" theory:
- How do you explain the rise of folks like Nixon and Cliton (despite their numerous flaws) who were born pretty much lower middle class, and became President of the US? Did the Government help them get where they were?
- How do you explain someone like Elvis Presley, who was born poor? Did the Government help him?
- How do you explain someone like my dad, who was born and grew up in Erie, PA to lower middle-class home, and was the first in his extended family to ever go to college? You know, Erie PA is SUCH a white-collar, millionaire's city. And because you like to remind me all of the time about the size of the sterling silver spoon in my mouth that I was born with, PowerStroker....
Explain those questions.

Obama went to the most exclusive private school in Hawaii, called Punahou ! And then he went on to several prestigious universities. Don't give me any crap about Obama being poor. He grew up in Hawaii and internationally, for God's sake. You ever been to Hawaii? You have any idea how expensive things are there? I have, several times, and I can tell you that prices are close to double those of the mainland on key items !
My maternal grandmother grew up in Hawaii (her father was at one time a Honolulu city & county auditor) and she went to Punahou, as did her father. My grandmother is even mentioned in the last paragraph of this article about my maternal great grandfather: http://files.usgwarchives.net/hi/statewide/bios/bicknell157bs.txt
My son's middle name is in honor of his great-great-great-great grandfather, one of the original missionaries in Hawaii. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elias_Bond My ancestor's church is still operating today.

Obama is an even better example of someone who was born to a poor family and made something of himself. He had a lot of family support, which means he's not self-made either - probably the same is true of Clinton, but then again, they never claimed to be self made so I'm not seeing how they are relevant to this discussion.
- How do you explain someone like Elvis Presley, who was born poor? Did the Government help him?
Elvis actually was self made for the most part. He was a musical prodigy and he created an entire new genre of music. I don't recall him gloating about being self made though, or promoting policies that assume all success is the result of hard work and therefore shifting wealth to lower income people would be a bad idea like the Republicans seem to think.
- How do you explain someone like my dad, who was born and grew up in Erie, PA to lower middle-class home, and was the first in his extended family to ever go to college? I don't know your dad's story. Perhaps you can tell me how he was the first in your family to go to college? Did he put himself through, or did the family help him out? How did you finance your education???
Explain those questions.
How can I explain your questions? They are based on a premise that I generally don't agree with.

Obama's dad was gone, and his mom was dirt poor. He was also raised by his grandparents, and I don't know how much money they had, enough to send him to some good schools obviously, but you're missing my point. OBAMA NEVER CLAIMED TO BE SELF MADE!!!
You really think the likes of Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow are different from the likes of Hannity etc? That Randi Rhodes on the radio is ANY different from Rush Limbaugh? REALLY?
MSNBC "news" has absolutely no different truth-in-content-wise from FOX news. It's just slanted the opposite ideological direction. I'm really surprised you don't see that.
If you honestly believe that MSNBC, the Huffington Post, Time, Newsweek, CBS News, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other "mainstream media" are unbiased and offer high quality unslanted content with a straight face, then you are more naiive than I ever thought !!
Where did I ever overtly claim here any sort of personal belief I have as to being a "birther"? Don't put words in my mouth. I don't care what you want to do with putting words in Rex's mouth, but don't put them in mine !!

Just because something is on the internet doesn't make it true. I'd like to see a credible journalism outlet cover this story, not just a conspiracy theory site that looks like journalism.
If I accomplish one thing on this site, it will be to teach you guys to tell the difference between the two.
Yes, I absolutely think Olberman and Maddow are much different from the Fox cronies because there is a mechanism in place to de-bunk anything they say which is wrong.
Where is the de-bunking on the right though? Where do you think birthers get their ideas? Well, I'll tell you! They get their ideas from the same place that gave them DEATH PANELS, a $200,000,000 per day trip to India, the disolving of the US dollar in favor of a gloal currency, the disolving of US borders in favor of a united Meximericanada, Muslim's being exempt from Obamacare, Obama secretly smuggling muslims into this country, Obama himself being a secret Muslim, 10% of the US Navy being re-deployed in support of Obama's foreign trips, Census data being used to round up Conservatives and place them in internment camps like the Japanese Americans were in the 40's, Liberals replacing the US Constitution with Sharia Law (the most conservative set of laws on the planet) - especially in Dearborn Michigan, US scientists cross breeding humans with animals and coming up with mice with fully functioning human brains, Atty General Holder doing lots of "anti gun" stuff, and on and on.
Now you claim to have never been a birther, and perhaps you're right. I'm sorry for accusing you of such ignorance.
What I'm having trouble reconciling though, is why you consistently use Fox "News" to back up your arguments, when they are responsible for so much of the disinformation on the right. Look what they have done to poor Rex, he's not too far behind you in IQ points, but the difference is enough for him to latch on to all of these falsehoods hook line and sinker. And although you state the Birther falsehood is not one you subscribe to, can you say the same for all of the aforementioned examples from Fox?
I went back and forth with Rex on the topic of truth in journalism in this hillarious thread
^^^I got the giggles again today from reading through it, I think you might enjoy it too actually.
So Gerry, if you do care about true journalism and seeing both sides of a story and coming up with an un-biased conclusion... And we already know you have heard the Fox version, perhaps you would consider watching a 15 minute lesson from Rachel Maddow on the topic of truth in journalism which covers all of the things you should have learned in your 4 years of journalism college.
So please check that out^^^ and view the Conservative heroes you constantly use to back up your arguments bring shame to themselves. Then let me know if you still believe them. Because if you do, it means you and Rex are both dummies, if you don't, it means just Rex is a dummy.
Shame on you Rex

To you PowerStroker, you consider left-leaning mainstream media to be "credible journalism outlets"
You don't need to teach me anything about credible journalism. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. I have worked in the PR/communications/media industry all my professional career, and have personally worked with reporters at many if not most of those "credible journalism outlets" you speak of, for 21 years now. I was trained in newsgathering and interviewing techniques and tricks. I was also a reporter for my college daily newspaper, assigned to the beat of covering the Oregon State University administration. Graham Spanier (the Penn State president who was ousted as part of the Sandusky scandal) was one of the administrators I regularly interviewed at OSU during that time (he worked there then; check his bio on Wikipedia), and I had an open door into his 5th-floor office when I needed to talk to him (this was in the 1988-1989 time frame). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_Spanier
If you think that MSNBC and the New York Times are credible journalism outlets, then by your reasoning, you should also consider Fox News and the Wall Street Journal and Investor's Business Daily as "credible journalism outlets". But I know you don't, because they are right-leaning, and that is where your own credibility falls down. You see, you (like most lefties) dismiss any media as biased that doesn't fit your own biased views.
If I accomplish one thing on this site, it will be to teach PowerStroker that for every so-called "biased right-wing media outlet", there is an equivalent -- if not MORE partisan -- "biased media outlet" that caters to the left.
It's quite often why I go to English and non-US media outlets, because they often cover US stories with less bias than US media outlets.
Furthermore, just because a particular story or meme isn't to be found anywhere in the US "mainstream media" (whatever their bias may be) doesn't mean it's not valid or it isn't true.
The fact is, that many if not most mainstream media in the US are afraid to carry controversial stories, and to dig dirt. Remember who owns them ... large corporations and families with political agendas.
You are touting what I believe to be a FALSE equivalance.
MSNBC and FOX are on opposit sides of the political spectrum, but the standards they have with regard to truth content in their reporting is far from similar. I don't latch on to every left leaning conspiracy theorist that says 911 was an inside job, but you guys seem more than happy to latch on to any right leaning conspiracy theorist who makes the case that Obama isn't a legitimate president because of his place of birth.
The reporting Fox has done has only served to feed ^^^ conspiracys like that. When has MSNBC said that 911 was an inside job though?
Where did you get your BS degree in journalism? Who paid for that education??? Perhaps if you had to pay for it, you would have paid better attention in class.
Wow, you really pay attention to all of the falsehoods. Did you pay attention to the ones spewed about Bush during the 2000-2008 time frame?
Your list was very informative. I had only heard of the secret muslims, India trip expense, and the Michigan sharia law ones. All of the other ones are 100% news to me.
I guess that means you watch more Fox News than I do....because I NEVER watch it (though my wife does, but I'm not usually in the same room when she does, I'm in my home office working or out in the garage wrenching...you know, sweating in the Houston heat and humidity so that I have to take a shower 2-3x per day.....)
I believe and watch/listen to Maddow and Randi Rhodes exactly as much as I listen to/watch Limbaugh and O'Hannity ... meaning NOT AT ALL.
You on the other hand seem to buy what Maddow and crew say hook line and sinker, and think it's gospel.
So can you list any falsehoods about Bush told by Rachel Maddow?
If not, then your failure proves that you have been wrongly believing in a false equivalence between right and left wing media with regard to truth in journalism. I'm looking for lies by Rachel Maddow that have been de-bunked by mainstream journalists and not just some slime you dug up on your propaganda sites mind you???
I've already listed several lies from Fox that have been de-bunked by mainstream media, I'm just looking for this equivalence you claim exists.
Shame on you Rex and Gerry

Ah so you did notice that 47% remark and the results of it. I was kind of thinking that's why you guys have been so quiet lately. I wasn't going to rub your noses in it though, I'm too classy to kick someone when they're down.
I been busy as a one legged pirate at an ass kicking convention.
In another 4 years under Obama a $50K home could be worth only $25K! Keep in mind this same home would have retailed for $159K under Bush.
I'll be voting Republican if only because things need to turn around. I remember life Pre-Obama campaign mode and I just hope Romney can squeek it out. I feel the Government could make ANY person look the roll of President, but at the end of the day it all comes down to the numbers, which are nothing to brag about.
Romney 2012

I've been traveling since last Sunday afternoon, and won't be home in Houston until Sunday at midnight..... Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland & now back in Seattle visiting my parents. Drove my dad's Ford Escape all day. Give me a Benz any day.....
You just grokked the point I've been trying to get through your thick head for the past 9 months...... Congratulations!! I wouldn't call my mom's 2008 Honda Accord "coming from money" either....
I see that Romney is polling 14 points ahead of Obama among the American Middle Class. You know the Middle Class that Obummer has been working so hard for.....
I own all of my Benzes outright as well as my motorcycle.
I'm talking about $60K of cold, hard, cash. I mean, yeah, any asshole can say they have $60K worth of something. My wife has a multiples-of-$60K diamond wedding ring. I live in a house that's worth a lot more than $60K
I'm talking green, bundles of sweet-smelling cash.
I just can't get over that "multiples of $60k diamonds" in that wedding ring.
From what I've been told, the general amount a wedding ring has traditionally set a strapping young lad back, would be about 2 months pay. So being the curious type that you know I am, I'm wondering how that ratio actually compares to your situation.
So for the sake of debate, lets use a conservative number of 3 diamonds because 3 would be the lowest number I would ever associate with the term "multiples." That would leave us with a ring that cost $180,000 on the low end - the price of a middle class home, although that is assuming there are only 3 such diamonds. So to me, that means there are only a few possible scenarios that could enable such a purchase.
Option A: You actually earn a million dollars per year.
Option B: You went way above and beyond the 2 months pay standard.
And if it is option B, there are more questions raised... Like how? Perhaps you are such a savvy investor that you turned a small investment into something absolutely huge. Or perhaps you acquired money as some kind of birthright ie: inheritance or trust fund ect. Or perhaps your wife's family is rich and they helped you purchase the ring?
Inquiring minds want to know, and I say that not because I'm a stalker or anything like that, I say it because I'm interested in becoming as prosporous as you, and I'd like to know your method. Can you help a brother out?

Sorry PS, not taking that bait. I think that's how wealthy folks stay wealthy .. they don't share their secrets with the likes of you. LOL !
Besides, if you just hang on through another Obama term, per his promises of sharing the wealth, don't you expect to get rich, or at least be better off in 4 years than you are now ?!?
