New iPhone X looks too much like a Samsung...

Well everyone knew where I was at 1pm yesterday... Watching the new rollout of the iPhones for this year!

After having had time to digest all of the offerings and the incredible opening to the event which started with the Beetles "All you need is love" while showing off Apples new star gate campus, I must admit I was impressed.

Not so much impressed however with the fact they come out with the iPhone 8, which is basically the same phone as the iPhone 7... Why they did not call the phone the iPhone 7S is beyond me, especially since they also have another phone which they call the iPhone X... It's hard to understand how they could call what is really an iPhone 7S an iPhone 8, but they did it anyway...

Still, my main issue is with the iPhone X and how it really resembles Samsung phones and is nothing that I would have expected from Apple. I haven't used the phone, held the phone or anything like that, but from what I can see, the first thing that comes to mind is, "Is this an Apple phone or a Samsung phone"!?
Truth is, I am told that the new iPhone X is using a Samsung screen! One only has to wonder.... Is this a screen that will cause the battery to explode?  WTF is Apple thinking? They are going to use an old outdated OLED screen from Samsung on the iPhone X, rather than the newer AMOLED screens that are offered by others and are much more advanced... Everyone also knows OLED screens are notorious for burn in, which means if you leave the same image on the screen for too long, it's probably going to burn itself onto the screen! But this is just speculation based on what I have seen on some other OLED Windows phones. I am not 100% sold on the new iPhone X, I guess I'd have to hold it in my hand... Given the starting price of $999 for the 64 GB version and the price of $1150 for the 256 GB version it's pretty much a no brainer... Who buys a phone like this with only 64 GB?

Also, while you will be able to order most all of Apples new offerings from Apple on the 15th, such as the $400 Series 3 Apple watch that now has onboard cellular, or the entry level $699 iPhone 8, or even the new Apple TV 4K @ $199 you will not get them until the 22nd. Truth is, the Apple TV should have been 4K ready last year!

Now if you want to order the iPhone X, they start taking orders on October 27th and claim to start shipping them November 3rd, which I find to be pretty crazy... Never before in Apple history have I ever seen them wait so long after a release to offer a product and it makes me wonder if maybe they have lost their minds? This will almost certainly go over like a lead ballon, since by the end of October many might just settle for the iPhone 8 while the others are still trying to figure out if they want to buy a Samsung... I mean, Apple X...
