Seems there are a lot of articles about the Chinese ditching their 2 term limits to allow Xi to become another communist dictator, "for life". There has also been talk about Russia doing something similar with Putin. Add in the fact the EU is somewhat in tatters right now with Greece's problems and the UK trying to withdraw and you can only imagine it all adds up to something not good.
You have to wonder, at least as far as China is concerned - just why this is happening? Is this an effort to make the case for long term commitments, like China's Belt and Road initiative? Something for them to say "hey we don't change up our leaders every 4 years so we can make / maintain a commitment longer", meanwhile the USA seems to almost double back every 4 to 8 years? I guess in a way it could be good, or bad... In some ways it would force the Chinese hand and could even backfire on them when the whole $hithouse comes down, which it already is under Trump's "America First" policy.
Russia is another country who may end up scraping traditional limits in favor of keeping on a leader who has been successful, but the sad reality is - all these wanna be dictators from China to Russia all came about due to poor US leadership under a weak and incompetent Obama. Thanks to Obama and the Democrats, these countries have been largely ignored (Russia and China) while allowing North Korea's dictatorship to look more and more appealing to aspiring dictators all over the globe. You can clearly connect these dots, and the way we are being played by Japan, China, North and South Korea is somewhat embarrassing.
We have had distractions at home lately with school shootings and gun control topping the current media blitz, but the Olympics are about over and I think we seen 1st hand how badly we are being fenced during the Olympics.

Well, ain't that just swell ?...
R1. History has always remained true to this saying..."The more things change, the more they stay the same"....At least as far as Russia & China goes....As for the EU, yes, it's a mess in some respects, but not our problem either...Great Britain & its Commonwealth remain the worlds largest land owners. I'm surprised that they won't take the opportunity to "buy" Greece, & add some sunshine to the extended British Isles lol !
R2. As with R1, its always been this way with China...Surely you didn't expect a democratic & free China & Russia ?...Even your US-of-A is hardly a free country. Mr.Bush signed the end to your freedoms & liberties years ago...
R3. Another Classic quote lol !
R4. It was Bush jr. who completely fucked everything with North Korea in the early 2000's.
The advantage the communist regimes have is watching US-of-A leaders change so often. This makes it easy to plan the future for the next century ( or more ) should you be communist...
None-the-less, whilst we allow "the Banks" to fund both enemies & allies, there will always be war, poverty, & extreme wealth on the other end-of-the-spectrum..
