Powerstroker, you are probably correct but a bit of "why" We came from a forum called datehookup. Many were there just for the forums and friends we had met in the past, I was married 4 years ago and not from a dating site but stuck around. They closed or are May 9th. Stellar gave us a place to continue our political discussions as the group we were.

Join us, I'm beginning to wander the other forums.

There is something wrong PowerStroker... Something wrong with how things have been and something wrong with the way things are going.. Take for instance our relationship, where you seem to lean left and I lean to the right (in terms of politics).

Despite our differences politically I have always felt we were forum buddies... In this case, with the exception of Falcon - not one of the liberals have come over here to say hello, or bid anyone farewell. The other site is crippled, and many here

are starting to wonder if all the years they shared debating politics means anything. I for one get the feeling that the liberals from DH were either paid shills, or a group of very bitter people.

I am not sure what their issues are, but I wanted to make sure I tried everything in my power to at least show that I'm not bitter, nor was I ever bitter back when the Republican party was down and out... Well I was bitter, but I didn't take it out

on my forum buddies by acting like they didn't exist. It's just a show of their character, or should I say lack thereof. Not really worth getting upset about, but I thought I'd give you the back story.

The offer to set this forum up for liberals to moderate was an Excalibur moment..

But it would seem they all fear the power..

Kind of corny if you haven't seen Excalibur or Lord of the Rings, I know... Having been a longtime member yourself PowerStroker, you can speak to the rarity that I make such offers to moderate a forum. True?

And it's not just DH or AutoTrend.us either...

Look at what is happening to Kanye West, not that I really cared much for him back when he was snatching the mic from Taylor Swift's hands during the music awards but I did purchase several of his songs over the years

because some of his music was inspiring or just plain funny to listen to. Now it would seem that Kanye want's to give Trump the chance and is speaking out about a great many things that have been holding back

Democrats for a very long time. The Democrats hate him for it and some have even put out hit's on him. I am sure you seen the TMZ video I posted in the politics area, but just incase you didn't

Kanye is now a target to Crips...

So what does this say about the current state of the Democrat party PowerStroker? What kind of effect is this having on the Democrat rank and file?

This isn't how your party wins votes, and this isn't exactly what I consider working across the isle.

But it's fine PowerStroker... May 9th will come and pass and should none of the selected folks show up to claim their rights and represent the party with dignity then we will just close this sub-form, move the thread over to the politics

section, as you have already rightfully suggested, and move on. No one will ever be able to say I didn't do my part to ensure a bi-partisan forum, and if they do I can always bump this thread.

I honestly hope none of them show up, I don't need the headache anyway... Or even better yet, maybe they show up after my offer has expired! biggrin

But I am starting to feel better about DH closing, as I did everything I possibly could to get them over here.

More than likely they would have just caused headaches and problems like they did on DH, accusing everyone of picking on them.

They'd never give you the satisfaction of coming here. I'd be willing to venture a guess that they probably don't even believe you made this forum for them, they most likely think you're just yankin' their chain.

They'll say what they want. Let 'em. Those of us who are here have seen it and know it actually exists. Just like anything else, they have no one to blame but themselves. But like you said, it's probably just as well. Less headaches, less aggravation, less bullshit. No worries, they're not hurting MY feelings any.

But one thing I can tell you with 99.9% certainty: If the roles were reversed, I know DAMN good and well they NEVER would've done something like this for any of US.

Thank you and welcome! Yes I'm happy to answer car questions. Since this place has gotten so busy lately I'm not likely to see every post so sending me a message would be best. If it's a Ford I might actually know the right answer, and if it's something else I can fake it and come up with an answer that at least sounds smart.

Hasle, With Fords officially saying they are not making the mid-size sedan anymore it will raise the value of all their existing stock of full and mid-sized sedans! Even your Fusion will likely see better than average resale once the dealers inventory has been depleted! Obviously not everyone want's a truck or small econo-box, so everything should be fine. Don't worry about parts either because Fords no longer makes cars to where the same parts can be used for decades, they purposefully change designs regularly to ensure the aftermarket part manufactures stay on their toes.

Remember years ago when cars were very much alike? I mean, take GM, for example. A Pontiac, Chevy, Oldsmobile, or Buick could all have their own model of car, but they would all look vaguely similar. Bodies by Fisher. Virtually all interchangeable parts. Hell, a guy could get off cheap finding parts at the boneyard!

I took that car in for warranty work, while it was there the assistant to the GM called and said they would like to set up a meeting with me because they wanted that car and they would gladly assist me in getting into another

car with about the same payment I'm making now. That sounded kind of strange, besides that, I paid cash..it just confirmed what everybody tells me. The car is a hot looker! Honestly, I believe the wheels on it make it look especially better looking than the average Fusion.

I belonged to a certain forum back in the 90ties and the libs did that kind of crap all the time. This is one reason I never give much personal info out. One IJIT kept threatening to show up on my door step with a knife or something. As it turned out, she ended up in Rehab instead.

Like many of you, I have also met some awesome people through social media through the years. Seems like nowadays you just have to caution.
