Tinder

Im currently reviewing the site known as Tinder.com

In the mean time I noticed this article, which Ill also be using as supporting link.

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/dating-app-tinder-booming-singles-willing-pay-155331033.html

According to City and Cinnamon, who claim Tinder is just a sex-hookup site, One has to wonder how they would know?

More details to follow.

So apparently after paying I get notice that Tinder wants me to agree to a new terms of service agreement..

https://www.gotinder.com/terms/us-2018-05-09

Updated on May 9th 2018

I glanced thru it and apparently they want access to all your Facebook friends, location, and a host of other things!

Not sure what to think about it..

So apparently its not enough to pay these companies anymore..

In addition to the near $30 per month for the gold tender, and $3.99 for 5 pack of Super Likes along with other traffic increasing add ons that can cost another $19.99, they also want all your location data and Facebook data!

Im still looking thru the terms but I wont be shocked if its written somewhere that they want rights to any first born child conceived using their site along with a fee per inch of penitration.

Kisses shall be $3.99 per 5 pack.

And I havent even started to explain how the site works yet!

Anyplace that wants all that kind of information is not a place I would sign up for.  All that info is irrelevant, particularly on a site such as that.  That's all on a need-to-know basis, and they don't need to know.

Well I have thoroughly examined this site "Tinder", or should I say this "Tinder Application" as I never really bothered to log in with my computer every since that crazy stuff happened with Match.com on DH...

Anyway folks, incase you already didn't know - Tinder is basically a photo app... The way it works is that you initially sign up and enter information such as your age, location, sex and some 600 character "about me" description. You can also upload up to six (6) photos.

After doing all this you will be taken to what I call the "swipe zone"... In the "swipe zone" you will be presented with a photo, usually of the opposite sex but not always, and this photo will fill up almost the entire screen. At the bottom you will see five (5) round circles, one is of a rewind sign, an X sign, a blue star symbol, a green heart symbol and a purple lighting bolt. (as of the time of this writing)

This is what it will look like on the App with an iPhone

Now, this is basically ALL Tinder is... You look at this photo and you can do several things -

*  The rewind button all the way to the left will take you back to the last photo - IF you have paid for a Gold membership, if not you're SOL.

*  You can dislike this person by clicking the red X (second from left) or you could simply swipe the photo left to do the same thing

*  You can "Super Like" this person by clicking the blue star (third from left) which will notify the person that you like them. You get 5 per day with a Tinder Gold membership. Pricing for "super likes" are as followed after you have used up your 5 daily super likes -

*  You can "Like" the person by swiping right or click on the tope heart. Swiping right as they call it, or "liking" someone will not notify this person you like them, rather you will sit in a pile until that actual person comes across your photo and "likes" you. At that time you will have what they call a connection and you can communicate with that person.

*  You can "Boost" by pressing the purple lightning bolt. Doing this will boost your photo to the top of the pile for anyone searching in your area. It works for like 15 minutes and you only get ONE boost per month with the Tinder Gold membership. I used mine and ended up with six connections - one of them a relative from down the road! LOL! These six connections are the ONLY ones I have gotten to date, I might add... So that puts into perspective just how bottom of the pile you will be not using them. Pricing for these "boost" options once you have used your one boost per month is as followed.

And this ladies and gentlemen, is Tinder... Nothing but a monotonous swiping of left and right... A constant feed of people whom you like or dislike based on their photo. It's a really creepy way of meeting people and to think my kids and their kids-kids may have to grow up with such total and ridiculous monetization of meeting people really left me feeling quite sick... And I have not read the new TOS yet, however every other time I run the app it pops this up

This is of course after I paid to have my membership upgraded to the "Tinder Gold" plan which was nearly $30 in total. Again, after 5 years on DH CE&P forums I felt I could spare $30 of the companies money to review this place like a gentleman.  I often wonder what they have changed in their TOS? Could my location be getting tracked? I bet it is! Could my camera or microphone be used or turned on? I bet it could be... I find that I reviewed Tinder the most while taking a dump, because it was easy to use and I was in a relatively private setting with no much other to do anyway. It's not like you could swipe thru all these photos at your desk with anyone around nearby. I must have swiped thru thousands of photos... LOTS of college students, airline stewardess, paralegals, Dr's and other such types on there. A lot of liberals who also state specifically in their descriptions that "All Trump supporters swipe left now"! LOL, not even kidding!

Tinder is free to join, upload your photos and start checking out photos. You can like and dislike for free, and over time - I guess you would build up connections... but they do expire and I have noticed I can not block people that have connected with me.

I should also mention the paid memberships in more detail, which as I know of there are only two -

Tinder Plus - $9.99 a month

Tinder Gold - $19.99 a month

Not sure if I paid for both but I ended up upgrading to Tinder gold not long after I upgraded to Tinder Plus... Tinder plus did not offer the re-wind, any Boots and very few super likes.

So there you have it...

Tinder...

Reminds me a lot of that Asian version of DH where everything was monetized. I still have to create that thread because it was like something out of the twilight zone! The craziest part is that I had someone emailing me, carrying on a conversation and engage me for several days sending me photos only to lure me to that Asian website where I was expected to pay in order to keep up communications with the person. I had to follow the rabbit hole to the bottom because it wasn't like them normal spam links and such, this person was dedicated to carry on a conversation for several days before the plant. Obviously I don't pay for such things, except when I am reviewing something mainstream, like for instance Tinder. I'd have never paid them a dime if I hadn't used DH for so long and enjoyed the forums but everything I am learning and the fact Chealse Clinton is on the board for IAC... The big Eminem announcement that he was on Tinder (Eminem is a flaming liberal and Dr. Dre's lap dog) and all the other things it is quite clear... Liberals like their little collection of sex slaves!

I should also mention that I have canceled any recurring payment from Tinder as my review has concluded. I never purchased add on Super likes or Boost's because I wasn't really interested in meeting anyone but even when my paid subscription ends here in a few weeks I'll keep the account going and report back. I have since removed all my real photos and put up a fake internet photo of Mini-Me with an outrageous description, for fun of course.

There sure isn't much to Tinder, except looking at photos... Not much interaction at all really, especially if you don't pay... Wonder if this is the way Facebook will turn?

Got my first transexual connection today! LOL

ALWAYS READ THE BIO BEFORE SWIPING RIGHT!

Worse part is I can't figure out how to block people people once a connection has been made! LOL, oh the irony! On Dh you could block people, not so much on Tinder.

They should change the name to "Tender" as in it's going to cost you a lot of legal "Tender".

I don't know what it is about this Tinder... I get hooked on reading all the crazy shit people say in their bio's, then one night when I am too tired to even read the bios I take a chance and the next thing you know I'm being stalked by a transexual. Geezz....

I am much more careful now days, I even made a nice bio that is sure to piss off all them liberal ladies! Swipe left if you're a liberal! LOL

After a thorough 30 day review of Tinder my 30 day "Gold" membership expired today. What a total waste of money!

I'd have to say that Tinder is hands down the biggest scam out there! From the way it's set up to monetize on connections to the total waste of time it becomes swiping thru photos, most of which are either very old or fake, it's your typical "gotcha" style service that to me was a total waste of time and money. It was fun reviewing the site I guess, since I had no expectations and the money being used was paid for by the company to research the DH / Tinder / Democrat connection but once my membership time elapsed I had absolutely no desire to pay them another dime for what they call a service.

Closed my account!

So there it is, if you have more money than brains then you'll want to check out Tinder! If you want to save time and money, skip Tinder and read this thread again.

Guess Tinder - aka IAC - Match.com is getting into the movie business!

I think I am going to swipe left on this BS.
