So it appears there was absolutely no consultation with anyone on the House or Senate foreign relations committee, much less any generals. We are going to up and abandon the Kurds who have been fighting along side us to kill ISIS. The Kurds will be slaughtered, Russia and Iran are thrilled. Even Secretary Mattis has had enough of this shit and resigned in protest, and he was one of the last adults in the administration.
Usually things like this are vetted by the stakeholders for months and in close consultation with Congress, the Department of State, and the military, but no longer.
All it takes now for a rapid change in U.S. Foreign policy that will result in the slaughter of thousands of allies, is a desire to take some heat off of the Saudi Crown Prince for his brutal and illegal murder of a U.S. Journalist. I'll bet this is why Nikki Haley left when she did too. And all this took was the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia to lend Jared Kushner a couple hundred million dollars to bail him out of an idiotic real estate deal gone bad.
I'm of the opinion that U.S. Foreign policy should not be conducted this way.
Thoughts?

Russia is nearly ready again to send men to the moon, & build a permanent space-station there...So maybe the withdraw of troops from the Middle East will help fund the US-of-A's needs to get there again too ?

An entire industry is based on war, but at one time there was an entire industry based on building horse drawn carriages. We were able to adapt our economy to something new and better in that case, why not war?
And if you have the biggest & baddest weapons, people shut-up & listen.
The ESA ( European Space Agency ) has revealed a photograph of a 50-mile-wide crater on Mars that's full of frozen water...This means rocket fuel LOL...
The space-race is on !!!

We are ALREADY IN Afghanistan and Syria. To suddenly pull our people out of Syria will result in:
-Kurdish allies being slaughtered by Turkey
-Russia will take all of the oil
-Russia will create the naval base they have always wanted which will greatly weaken our position in the region
-Iran will be emboldened
-Assad will resume gassing civilians and committing other human rights abuses
-ISIS will rebuild stronger than they ever were before
This is why a president usually consults with Congress, the military, the State Department, The intelligence community, and any relevant stakeholders for months before making any abrupt foreign policy changes. Apparently you care more about Trump shaking things up than anything else.
Keep this shit up, and America will quickly lose its status as the only indispensable nation, and all of us will be worse off for it.
No, that was well planned and coordinated with all of the aforementioned agencies, and not done for the express purpose of "shaking things up" to resolve a childish temper tantrum over a wall or special counsel investigation.
The Iraq war never should have been started in the first place, Afghanistan and Syria are completely different.
None of the wars should have been started in the first place. I'm mixed on this pullout of Syria and Afiland. Good to get out of the world police thing but on the other hand what will the people do (like the Kurds) when we do pull out. I could go either way on this.
