Apparently whale meat tastes quite good too...
Now if we could fully decommission Fukushima's nuke plants from pumping 1/2-a-million litres of nuke-shyte a day into the Pacific, maybe some whales will come back to their shores, instead of fishing-out Australia's waters...
Anyhow, better them saying that it's for human consumption than scientific research...
We won't mention the shark-hunting boats...Where the whole shark is thrown back alive into the water, but without any fins...

Funny story. I lived with a nurse supervisor 8 years. Another super, a friend of hers married a Chief up the Neah Bay Indian res on the NW tip of WA. They are allowed to whale. First ceremony she had to eat whale meat. Hell, I would. I'll eat most anything. Kolrabi is off the list though, and chestnuts too.
