Although I want to make it clear that the basis for their review (a guy selling heroin) is not what I consider to be a small offense. Although I have seen people get things seized for nothing more than pot as well, or at least that is what they claim.
Some guy selling heroin in a Land Rover might be wise to get a hooptie for such tasks, but still... it's a slippery slope and only a chunk of case law that can be used as the basis for an appeal - if you got the stones and money to take it that far.
The guy in the Land Rover must still be slang'n if he has the cash to hire attorneys to walk an appeal case all the way up to the Supreme Court, only to have it handed back down to the lower court that screwed him in the first place.

They were not funded, owed them $50K and they were down to 1 deputy and the Sheriff. Couldn't cover the county, the shifts, no 911 responds, barely open so he shut it down!
I'm actually drinking some Bourbon right now! Still got to do the Makers Mark tour, not that far. 30-40 miles. Or go all out on a KY distillery tour!
Like to go see Tim from moonshiners show who went legal. He is not too far either, 70 miles or so north of me. Maybe Tickle is out of prison and working for him!
Last I saw Tim contracted a farmer for $10K worth of rye. Rye makes an excellent shine, little more work, got to sprout the grain first I guess. My fav when I can find some.
