Michelle Obamas book, Becoming has sold more than 10 million copies and is on track to be one of the bestselling political memoirs ever.

Barack Obama is in the middle of his third (still untitled) memoir which will cover his criminal political career from 2004 to present and he wants to beat Michelle Obamas book sales.

According to The Atlantic, Barack Obama is feeling competitive and pointed out that his wife used a ghostwriter while hes writing his memoir himself:

The writing has been going more slowly than hed expected, and according to several people who have spoken with him, the 44th president is feeling competitive with his wife, whose own book, Becoming, was the biggest release of 2018 and is on track to be the best-selling memoir in history. Barack Obama always needs to be in the spotlight and sees himself as a God-like figure.
