Tiffany & Co. sold to LVMH for $16.2 Billion in November 2019 - Warren Buffett passes...

Well... Well... Well...

Looks like the once American Icon, Tiffany and Co. has been sold to a French company LVMH which also owns other popular luxury brands such as Moet, Louis Vuitton and Hennessy.

It is rumored that Warren Buffett passed on making an offer, despite having $120+ Billion in liquid cash...

You have to wonder, why did he pass? Buffett owns other jewelry companies such as Helzberg Diamonds and Ben Bridge Jeweler with 100% ownership stake! But he allowed an American Icon like Tiffany to be passed on to the French?

Buffett also owns DQ - read that as Dairy Queen, the last DQ that I visited in Nashville Tennessee was absolutely disgusting! As I walked up to the counter my feet were sticking to the floor and everything was dirty and greasy coated in the restaurant! It was so bad that I turned right around and walked out!

And Helzberg Diamonds!? Who the hell shops there!? LOL, in fact has anyone ever even heard of Bridge Jeweler?

Buffett sitting on a bunch of cash just makes you wonder, did / does he pay taxes on that!? And if so, how much is it costing him to keep it liquid? I'm sure a guy like Buffett keeps mad cash on hand because obviously he is waiting for the next big market crash to scoop up companies at a song, but let's just hope his long game is to acquire back Tiffany and Co. when that happens!

Then again, in retrospect, having visited DQ maybe it's best he kept his greasy paws off Tiffany and Co.? LOL

One thing, I seriously doubt LVMH will part with Tiffany and Co. anytime soon, lest not without double or tripling its investment.

I was rather impressed with the bathrooms at Tiffany!

I don't know if it was worth $16.2 billion but I am sure they have a lot of assets and prime location property...

Still, I checked out Buffetts past purchases and he is a bargain shopper when it comes to buying companies... in fact most of them are WELL under $5 billion. His company Berkshire Hathaway has got some serious money in the market! But just don't take my word for it, check it out yourself! It's rather shocking!

Don't get me wrong, I think DQ has GREAT FOOD, they keep the DQ around here nice and clean. Part of the reason I picked it out of all the other places there...

Who knows, someone might have just spilt their pop, but it did seem awful greasy.. and obviously they didn't use any kind of cleaner in the mop bucket as it felt like I was walking on fly paper - sounded like it too... I almost didn't want to get in my car with my shoes on afterward!
