It's really sad that the folks that were already suffering, now have to endure even more grief.

That said, the good-old "food-stamps" might be a better, cheaper, & well proven method of helping people out.

Yes, SELLC, they want to see how people react, & so be able to spy on them...But this has been occurring for years now too, so I'm not completely convinced that it's a "new thing" or method of spying.

I was more or less talking about the notion of minting trillion dollar coins...

If we're going to mint a trillion dollar coin why not mint a quadrillion or sextillion dollar coin? Does it really matter at that point? Why not have a little extra!

We already know they are spying on everyone, that is what makes me so upset about the most recent census questionnaire that I received! Like they don't already know! LOL

There wouldn't be change given. The US Treasury is basically an account at the Federal Reserve bank. The Federal Reserve operates independently from the US government and has private ownership, but the US treasury account there is owned by the US government. The Federal Reserve bank has the sole authority to print paper currency as part of their mandate to regulate the amount of money in the economy in a manner that leads to highest employment and lowest inflation. The US Treasury Department has the sole authority to mint coins. If the US treasury department mints a trillion dollar coin, and then deposits it in its own account at the Federal reserve, the effect is to create money from thin air. And the Federal Reserve bank would have no choice but to accept it and credit the US treasury by that amount. This is something that I don't think has ever been done before, but it would be legal.

I would imagine the net effect of so doing, would be the devaluation of the US dollar relative to other currencies, however with other currencies also dropping in value, it may be a moot point. Essentially it would be a means to reduce our debt by a numerical value, while at the same time running the risk that everything in our lives that we buy will cost us a higher numerical value. I would further surmise that practices like this are why the Peso isn't worth anything anymore, and I'd hate to see that happen to the dollar, but after generations of piss poor tax policy, we are running out of options.

No doubt due to such a large post from PowerStroker, & with the many strings attached with it, you can't squeeze everything in, though it was a great summary imo.

And to answer you SELLC, the way I recall things, (& to elaborate from PowerStroker), is that your Gov't asks for the money from the Federal Reserve (which is an off-shore private corporation in the UK), & then gives back to the Fed, Gov't assurance, in the form of Gov't bonds, with INTEREST, to be paid back to the Fed.

This is why the US-of-A will always be in perpetual debt, & has been since 1913 when POTUS Woodrow Wilson allowed the creation of the Federal Reserve / Central Bank cartel.

The money granted by the banks, can then be reconstituted a great many number of times, & the whole cycle before financial collapse "generally" takes around 20-years to occur.

The devaluation of the US-of-A is actually great for your export economy, as it becomes a better buy for folks.

At the moment, the exchange rate with Oz, is that $01:00 AUD = $00.59 USD. ( Back in 2012, when I bought my last Stratocaster, it was nearly the opposite ).

It appears that those in the US-of-A with actual liquid $$$, have strong buying power at the moment.

That being said, we all know the Government can now create money from out of thin air... Recently China also pumped almost a trillion dollars into their markets and economy to fend off the Wuhan Virus according to some news outlets, however you never can really trust what comes out of communist China, be it their statements, dog food, or even a virus. We can only hope this Chinese virus is like everything else that comes out of China - a cheap piece of shyte that will fail in short order!

PowerStroker is well versed on depositing a trillion dollar coin, he has been toying with the notion on this forum for quite some time - well before Tlaib!

He is right that it would devalue the dollar, which is why I said we might as well mint a quadrillion dollar coin so we only have to do it once, as once is all it's going to take for the world to go nuts!

Man, I just checked the AUD to USD conversion, & it's still pretty crap...

$01:00 AUD = $00:60 USD...

This means it would be around $100:00 to get the digital download of Dr.Greer's new film, "CE-5, contact has begun", out on the 7th April....

And to be honest, it's not really a big deal for me. The amount of facts & information he's already got out-there on the net for us to learn from, is really quite amazing, & everyone should be taking notice & absorbing this "stuff".

Around the $00:77 USD mark, promotes steady growth in the economy, with growth in both import & export concerns, but without the heavy inflation, as one offsets the other in a very general sense, & over a number of years, where markets can settle, & therefore predict cycles over say 4-5-years.
