Really cool R107 The Weeknd - Save your tears video

The Weeknd has made a new music video and impressive are all the R107's he amassed to make this video!

Check it out!

Yo,

Lots of nice 107's there...Even a Pagoda too...

I figure he was looking for some MB endorsement ( maybe a free-be lol ) & got refused, since all of the center MB star badges were missing on all the cars.

(Or like myself, maybe MB thought that the tune was mehhh...( It was like a 1980's George Michael / Wham throwback with a crap sounding drum-set lol ).

Good post though, & nice cars, that's all that matters :) !

I have always liked the Weeknd's music... The Save your tears video is rather new and one of his more slower "mellow" tunes, however he has always had a penchant for Mercedes as his break out video "Blinding lights" he appears in a newer SL as well

The SL is also driven with quite spirit in the video too! My son and I were discussing the actual video which appears to have him stealing the SL in Las Vegas and taking it out on a joy ride, however it would seem from the video that the new SL may have some sort of remote immobilizer that will shut down the vehicle and lock up the brakes when activated, as that is when his is caught by what appears to be henchmen of the owner and beaten.

Yo,

I'm not sure whether Alice Cooper likes his MB's or not, but he's a local Detroit-boy, & has just released a new album called "Detroit Stories"...I have around 10-albums from this master of theater-rock, & they're all pretty awesome from start-to-finish...Anyhow, I've only heard "shorts" from his new album, but here's the vid to the first single,"Social Debris" & it's more like what I like to hear in radio music :) !

Interesting news, I find it amazing that I live in the Detroit Metro area and I learn of this from someone all the way across the world! The Weeknd isn't for everyone and neither is Rap or R&B, but I found interesting for the Mercedes section because of the Mercedes.

Here is a good tune that has seen a lot of play action in my playlist lately. Perhaps more your style too, albeit a little on the softer side... I like this video because they actually went around and sampled their music on people off the street and it's pretty funny IMHO.

Yo,

That 2nd post of Weeknd was much better than the 1st imo...

As for the song by Cake, they're using a voice-over of a track made in the mid 1990's, though I can't think of who the artist was...(It sure sounds like the "old voice" re-recorded over new music).

The thing with new music today, is that it's disposable, bubble-gum stuff...Meaning that you listen to it, & like bubble-gum, after a few minutes, its all-out-of-juice, & you need some more, or something different, or simply spit-it-out & get some new pieces.

Not too much stuff released today will survive the test-of-time...No one makes "classic albums" today, that will be enjoyed in the future years to come.

I do have "some" up-to-date stuff, but most of the music I listen to is late 1960's-70's & early 80's...And most of the bands that I got into back then, are still going to this day...

Alice Cooper was signed in 1968 by Frank Zappa, & has had a phenomenal career. Some of the bands still kicking, or recently retired are RUSH, QUEEN, PINK FLOYD, BLACK SABBATH, KISS, LITTLE FEAT, THE WHO & on & on.

And as for blood & guts combined with great music, check-this-out !
