Notice how the rear hydraulic system tries to compensate for the squat under torque. The rear brakes are VERY strong and it took awhile to find the proper amount of pressure to keep the vehicle from moving. Also notice the flawless posi-trac for about 6 foot and even into the turn.

I'b be very worried about that HP from a 560 my 320 is about 228 HP.
Worried?? Absolutly not.
Were talking about a luxury vehicle here. Glad to hear that the 10 year newer 3.2 is putting out 228 HP that’s still 30-40 HP less than the 560.
400 HP is within arms reach with nitrous on this 560. We just have a few tests we want to run before putting it on a perfect running 560. No big deal. Really it’s just for fun.
I have nothing to prove to anyone. I don’t go around making sensationalist claims like Talbir where as he says his 300SE is the FASTEST IN THE WORLD. I am just having a good time and if some of the haters would just STFU everyone else would be too.

And why are yuo comparing a 5.6 V8 to a 3.2 Straight six ????
Not really apples with apples - a difference of two cylinders and 2.4 litres in displacement.
Get real - and PROVE you have 270bhp.
If you don't have proof then don't ask others for it.
Tabir never claimed his car was the fastest 300SE. Where did he claim that. It was me who said it's probably ONE OF the fastest SE's in the world. And no argument - it's a 300bhp Euro 560 with a 3.46 diff.
It's miles faster than your car - which you claim is a Us spec 560 with a 2.47 diff, but from the video it looks like it's merely a 300 SDL. The lack of acceleration is alarming !

You know jack squat about Mercedes or Mechanics. Shut your hole before we shut it for you.

Your car is a 2nd gen 126, there is no way my car being a 93 is ten years younger. I'm suprised at how little a 5.6 litre V8 is putting out surely it should be atleast 300, even with age if the car has been looked after it should not loose that much HP.

No your 1993 is only two years newer however the w140 does span to 1999.
The newer engine that you have is a dual over head camshaft engine with improved ignition and modern OBDII conforming engine controls. The w126 I own is not therefore only makes 30-40 horsepower than your smaller displacing 3.2
This is not to say that you cant squeeze an extra 40-60 natural horsepower more out of a 560 just that you will find the torqe of the 560 to exceed that of your 3.2 all across the board just like the HP figures.
I like the w140 body and the improvements made to the powertrain. I have been keeping an eye out for a few. I am also looking for a clean SEC or SL and we are always buying right priced w126 420/560's from 1986-1991.
I would gobble your S320 up on the highway. Them extra 2 valves and electronic ignition might make for a hard time busting your ass from stop light to Stop light but were working on a little ace in the hole kit.

I went and looked it up and it appears that your right for the US spec 560, I would never have imagined it would be so low but then the power/weight ratio must be better for the W126 than the W140.
I am not so sure about that. The w140 I believe is a LOT less heavy. What does your car weigh in US Lbs?
The 560 is VERY heavy so I would wager the power to weight ratio to be better on a w140 hence why I think that a w140 would be quicker in the city of stop and go. On the highway I believe the taller gear and extra horsepower would take out an S420 and lower. We are looking to add an extra 150 HP with the aid of nitrous and gain 30-40hp with modification to engine management and exhaust. For a total of up to 190 Horsepower additional on top of the factories 220 (Moderate) Horsepower rating. So we say 400 HP conservatively is our goal.
And yes we plan on taking it to the dyno with several other customers’ cars. With Nitrous Oxide LARGE 150-300 HP Gains can be easily gotten. It’s just a question of if the engine and fuel system are going to hold up. For example the aluminum block could be problematic or the pistons from Mercedes may not hold up well under the higher heat and bigger bang. This is why a test vehicle is a MUST. Not only that we want to see what the engine looks like inside after 100 lbs of Nitrous. It will be a whole lot of fun. We have done many installs on V8's and some with aluminum heads but NONE with all aluminum OHC engine and NONE with the manufacture Mercedes.

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE........ please stop pretending to know what you are talking about cuz you don't know shit!
W140 is a LOT less heavy?????????????? MAYBE IN SPACE you moron!
This guy dont know how to read. Please excuse him. A better power to weight ratio would mean a lighter car. Stoma cant read between the lines, thats why he comes here. He is cant get enough of Benzworld.us.

MERCEDESSHOP ROCKS wrote: Mercedes don't have Positraction either dumbass! Get your terminology correct.
Try telling that to the Bozo's over there at BenzWorld.org The marks in that video were done by a standard differential. It is BenzWorld.org that is using the term limited slip out of context. So far out of all the dumb pucks that have responded here you are the only one who points it out. Good for you MS-Rocker!
No the w126 560 did not come with a Limited Slip differential by definition.
There is an LSD differential but Mercedes themselfs used the term limited slip out of context when they were trying to descibe traction control aka ASR.
Even though the differential in the 560 shown in the video does not have a limited slip by definition it sure did leave a convincing Posi-Track mark! Guess that answers the question of why "Water was put on the floor"
Good for you MS-Rocker

THE MERCEDES-BENZ 560 SEL DOES NOT COME STANDARD WITH A LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL!!!
This link below is a fine example of why you should not trust information on the W126 Forum of BenzWorld.org, there you will see the MODERATOR of the forum spreading FALSE information stating that an LSD differential comes standard in US production 560's!-
ALL USA MODEL 420 and 560 W126 Sedans come with a 2.47 ratio. We can guarantee you that not all 560's come with LSD differentials, in fact unless its an AMG there is more than a 90% chance that its just a regular 2.47 diff.
If you want TRUE information about the 420 and 560 Differentials you need look no further than this forum! Click the link below to find out the TRUTH! TRUTH ABOUT THE MERCEDES-BENZ W126 DIFFERENTIAL
