Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL Sagging in the rear

I have recently fixed a Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL that was sagging slightly in the rear by replacing the sway bar links. The sway bar links in the rear often times wear out and sometimes even seperate. This causes the rear end to start sitting lower than usual. This problem is exclusive to the 560 models with the Hydro rear suspensions. The valve that controls/senses the level of the vehicle attaches to the rear sway bar. Not having good tight rear sway bar links will effect the level and opperation of the SLS system.

Just thought I would put that out there.

I wanted to follow up on this tread to let people know that the sway bar links are ONE of many things that can cause the rear end of 560's to sag. While the sway bar links are the less expensive to fix, they are not the ONLY thing that could be causing your problems.

Very loose sway bars will often give tell-tail signs of them being bad. Things like rattles from the rear end, sagging of the rear suspension and less than peek handling in the rear are the most noticable.
