Hey, we were all aware that nothing good ever really come out of Taiwan, so why should we be a supprise when the "A-Whale" turned out to be a flop? Sure it was a good gesture on the part of Taiwan, and no one is taking that away from them, but given how little it has done to collect oil I still think there is more to the story of WHY this ship was sent.

After a lengthy trial period in the Gulf of Mexico, a Taiwanese-owned giant skimming vessel known as A Whale was dubbed a bust, a federal official announced Friday.

"While its stature is impressive, 'A Whale' is not ideally suited to the needs of this response," Coast Guard Rear Admiral Paul Zunkunft, a federal on-scene coordinator, said in a statement late Friday.

Measuring an impressive 1,110 feet, the tanker was brought to the Gulf in early July. Officials hoped it would meet is potential of collecting as many as 500,000 barrels of contaminated water per day and make a dent in the 184.3 million gallons of crude oil that have already leaked from BPs broken oil well.

However after weeks of tests, A Whale collected only negligible amounts of oil, leading to the conclusion that smaller skimming vessels are better suited for the Gulf spill.

At one point in time, I thought this website was about fixing fucking cars.... or at least about how some guy turned into a PSD exspurt after he fucked some poor shmuck over and got taught a thing or three about HEUI injectors (Oh, yes... some of your old antics will live in infamy)

Did you notice this was the Money, Business, Technology and Politics forum? You wan't to explain to me how in this area I should talk about cars or trucks?

Maybe things are so boaing in Canada you dont have to follow politics, but then again most of Canada is frozen over in snow.

Maybe you should go back to school if you want to learn how to fix cars? As for HEUI injectors... Well they sucked when they were new, they sucked when they were used, and they sucked even after they were rebuilt.

See the problem you have Pogo is that your too dumb to know what the hell is going on. That thread you speak of that lives in infamy is just another classic Vertical Scope fuck you. See I never got the chance to finish the thread since I got banned there. Miserable fucks even tried to keep the thread going because I was showing all you wanna be mechanics how to fix these trucks. You missed out on everything yet you come in here acting like you and your PowerStroke.org crew showed me something. Sorry Pogo, it's the other way around! I WAS TEACHING THEM SOMETHING. Complete with photos and detailed instructions.

Now if no one has any automotive questions, Ill be just as happy to talk about something outside of what I do all day for a living. Guess thats where we differ.
