I mean seriously, what the fuck is wrong with Mercedes these days? You'd think by now a car company could figure out how to make a power steering system operate properly. It just blows my mind that some people pay big bucks for a product made by such a piss poor company when it comes to quality.
The loyalty to your brand is inspiring, but you fail to realize that while you may work for a Ford Motor Company dealership, I don't. Nor do I work for Mercedes Benz or any of their dealerships.
I agree with you that Mercedes-Benz also has problems. I have been working to expose these problems within the forum, just like I do with any other manufacture. While I may own a Mercedes I never claimed they were perfect.
I have found SERIOUS flaws in the Daimler Chrysler brand as well. Pretty much all their engines are sludge packers that should never go a mile past 3000 on an oil change. From the notorious 2.7 liter biscuit, all the way on up to their V8's.
I guess I need to make a Chrysler forum pretty soon.

Gee PowerStroker, you didn't seem to give a very detailed reason of "Why" Mercedes power steering systems were a poor design like I did when it came to one of MANY of Ford's engineering flops. I guess the whole concept of backing up your mouth would blow your mind.
I did however read that article, and unlike Ford's who has not issued a recall for their poorly designed spark plugs, Mercedes-Benz DID IN FACT issue a recall for their error and is fixing EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM to ensure that even down the road after the warranty is expired, that their customers are not stuck with an expensive repair bill as a result of an error they made.
So PowerStroker, when is Fords going to start taking the bull by the horns like Mercedes? Seems the link you posted was more or less an article stating that Mercedes was recalling some vehicles to fix a problem, where as in Ford's case that article would have been written by a bunch of angry owners asking WHEN Fords is going to step up and make right.
Thanks for pointing out that Mercedes-Benz owns up and takes care of their mistakes PowerStroker! Now maybe Ford's could learn a thing or two from that! Oh yeah that's right PowerStroker, Ford's is more interested in making their vehicles obsolete in 2-3 years and does not want it's customers to have a vehicle that could last a lifetime, let alone be easy to service!
Jokes on you again buddy!
