I actually like your idea for a plan, and so do the rest of the Democrats. The current law is the best we could get though.
Sorry PowerStroker, but I am going to have to call BULLSHIT on that comment buddy. Democrats had a SUPER MAJORITY and thus could have pushed thru WHATEVER THEY WANTED. Sorry if you are too blind or too partisan to see that, but the truth is the Democrats had the chance to do something great and fucked it all up.
They did not need ONE SINGLE republican vote to cram this current atrocity down our throats, and they would not have needed one single Republican vote to pass a quality bill. The American people are not stupid, and that's why there was a sweep in the last election.
Admit it PowerStroker!

A super majority of Democrats, is not the same thing as a super majority of LIBERALS, though I wish it were. Joe Lieberman (I) of Connecticut who usually votes with the democrats, pretty much single handedly gutted the public option from the bill. If we had a super majority of liberals without idiots like Lieberman diluting the mix, we would have a plan exactly like the one you described you would want.
So this proves that the Democrats are FULLY responsible for this. Instead of them admitting this law is wrong, they have put their parties name on it. So now it will head to the Supreme Court, and if it gets shot down there, then you can bet the Democrats will be out come 2012 for wasting a bunch of time, along with trying to instate a law that is unconstitutional.
Republicans campaigned on Jobs and repeal of the health care law. They are doing what they said they would, unlike the Democrats.

The Dems are proud of the law? You see that's exactly why the Democrats have to go, because they pride themselves on half ass work.
How many jobs has my side created since they took the house a month ago? Probably more than your side has in the past TWO years when they had control of the White House, H of R and Senate.

I dunno about that Rex... The last time your party had control of anything we were losing 700,000 jobs PER MONTH. It seems to me that Obama was at least able to stop the bleeding caused by the failed Republican policies to which you cling.
I am sure now he realizes that it only served as a shot in the foot, where as if he didn't play Dirty Chicago Democrat politics things might have not gotten so out of hand. He claimed the banks were going broke and the nation was going under while Bush was in his last year, so Bush gave him what he wanted and let him choke on it.
Now Obama is choking on it.

If one senator from Illinois can tank the entire economy with some words, then the Republicans are truly pathetic in their weakness and inability to stop it from happening.
More like One Senator, the ENTIRE Democratic party, enough Media money to pay down the national debt (and many still are questioning where the hell it all come from) and pretty much every Union along with the entitlement voters...
One Senator.... Pffft... I bet you and Obama would like to think that.
