I guess the part I don't like is how much time Obama spent fucking around trying to bring Gitmo prisoners here to try them. The guy even wanted to bring the 911 suspects to New York city to try them, which by the way he was told to go take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.
Much like how the Democrats wasted time passing some piece of shit health care law, this reversal on the Gitmo cases is a fine example that the Democrats don't know what the hell they are doing. Meanwhile we get stuck with the tab.

I knew Obama trying to close Gitmo was a bad idea from the start. So to answer your question I would not have wasted the time and energy trying to close it to begin with, and thus focused my efforts on things that would help the American people, rather than the foreign criminals that would rather kill us than have to look at us.

How do you know for sure they attacked us unless they have been proven guilty in a court of law? Just because our troops round up some turbin wearing dudes in the middle east and throw them in Guantanimo, doesn't mean those specific people committed a crime. I say let us present the evidence against them and let a judge decide if in fact they are guilty of something. Then, if they are, punish them accordingly. This isn't some unique American right, it's a HUMAN right.
Give it a rest already PowerStroker... Now even your own ilk agrees with you anymore so you can quit the act. You know damn well people picked up by the armed forces have no right being on American soil, cramping our already cramped courts.

Yeah I agree... But not here in the USA with the rights afforded to Americans. And no, not everyone deserves to have the rights we have! That's why we are America.

So if you seen a terrorist set off a weapon of mass destruction would you want him to see your face in trial? Would you want him seeing the evidence you supplied agenst him including your name and address? Would you want him held in a jail 20 miles from your home? Would you want him getting phone calls and visitors to inform his buddys who you were, so they could swing by your home or work and tune you up? I doubt it.
If indeed it is taking too long to prosecute these people I agree with you that things need to be a bit quicker, but only so America isn't having to support these losers any longer than we have to. I also feel that if they are executed by firing squad they should be shot with the cheap China made ammo they sell at Walmart, and not the expensive but quality stuff made here in the USA.

Yeah, I would want to confront him.
Would you want him seeing the evidence you supplied agenst him
Yup, that's how this is done. I would testify against him.
including your name and address?
There are ways to protect people who testify, he wouldn't need my home address for any reason, I don't know why you even brought that up.
Would you want him held in a jail 20 miles from your home?
As long as it's a government run facility... Some of the prisons run by private comapnys in Arizona are prone to escapes.
Would you want him getting phone calls and visitors to inform his buddys who you were, so they could swing by your home or work and tune you up? I doubt it.
Then we can charge his buddies with crimes too.

If you're worried about the taxpayer expense of bullets, then why are you so supportive of wars?
If you seen all this go down on American soil then you would be testifying, however you might be going to gitmo to do it.
By the way I don't support Obama's mission-less war in Afghanistan. I support the troops, but not the person who keeps them there with no clear objective.

Well the USA keeps troops in small numbers all over the world in an effort to keep a presence.
Tell me again who authorized the "Surge" of troops to Afghanistan? While you are at it could you tell me what the reason aka MISSION/OBJECTIVE of that surge was? Oh that's right... Obama had to make it look like he was tuff on terror by sending a surge of troops to the middle of nowhere with no mission.

Well that's funny... I seem to recall Obama winning the Presidency... Guess that would explain why McCain took credit for the idea, and Obama fudged it up by not knowing what the hell he was doing.
It's all coming into focus now PowerStroker! Thanks!
