So here is something that was written by a Union worker of 21 years.
"I am a 21 year member of a union that is affiliated with the AFL-CIO. A small, but growing group of members like me have been advocating with our unions for years to work with local governments to help solve the fiscal problems and not make them worse.
1. We realize that if we get everything we want our taxes go up just like everyone else.
2. For every dollar a Democrat gives a union, they take two back in taxes.
3. Unless we get the state, and federal budgets under control our pensions mean nothing. Uncontrolled spending leads to massive inflation and massive inflation makes our pensions and savings worthless.
The only thing my union has done for me for over the years is take nearly 15 thousand in union dues from me. Had I been able to keep this money in an account, with compounding interest over the years I would have a nice pot of money. Instead, my dues were used in part to promote democrat candidates and bail out bad employees who should have been fired long ago.
My union agressively fought the state when it switched all state employees from a defined benifit to a defined contribution (401k) style retirement years ago. In hindsite, that switch to a 401k has kept my state from an all but certian bankruptsy in the future which.... would have ruined the pensions for all those retired, and in the old system.
Good for WI. They are doing what they need to do to protect the taxpayers, AND state workers. By shutting down the schools they are enraging countless parents working multiple jobs who now have to take time off work (lose money) so that the union can throw a fit like a bunch of entitled babies. In terms of Wisconsin, their non partisan state budget office had a projected surplus of 150 million bucks. Then a new Republican governor took over and gave hundreds of millions of dollars worth of tax giveaways to big business - creating what is now a projected shortfall. He did this on purpose because he was intent on coming up with an excuse to bust labor unions. It isn't the fault of the cops, or firefighters, or teachers, or snow plow drivers that Wisconsin now has a budget shortfall, it was intentionally created by their governor for the purpose of political axe grinding. Wisconsin state employees actually average a lower salary than their private sector counterparts. I say Governor Walker should go fuck himself and raise taxes on rich people to cover the cost of the kickbacks he gave his buddies.

Wait a minute PowerStroker! I hate to bust your bubble however MANY people claim they take jobs that have Union representation because they have NO CHOICE! Many articles out there about how people get forced into the union.

Please provide credible links. That claim is propaganda and a classic case of Democratic book cooking. It's no coincidence that every time a Democrat loses their strangle hold on a government serious corrections emerge, and it's not because of Governor Walker WHICH BY THE WAY HAS ONLY BEEN IN OFFICE FOR ONE MONTH. You expect us to believe that in one MONTH he has spent 150 million dollars? Sounds more like the Democrats there have been exposed!

State and Federal employees pay their taxes with tax money paid to them by the people. Cry me a river! And if you think State employees actually average a lower salary than their private sector counterparts then you need to lay off the crack. When you take into account the benefit packages state employees receive it's clear they are making WAY MORE than their private sector counterparts, but that's about to change. :)

Seems to me that it's the Democrats that are fucking themselves. I mean is there even an ounce of professionalism left in the Democratic party? And where did they run an hide? The corrupt and dirty Union controlled state of Illinois. All of the Democrats who decided not to goto work because they didn't like the job should be FIRED. They purposely LEFT THE STATE to avoid having the police round them up and force them back to work. What if we all just skipped work because we didn't like what was going on any particular day?
Oh it was so funny when Dumbocrats rammed an unconsitutional health care bill down our throats with a Jack-Ass Supermajority, now the shoe is on the other foot and look at you! Democrats are the reason this nation is so screwed up.
Tell your Democratic buddies to GET BACK TO WORK or find a new job. This kind of behavior is not acceptable and is the hallmark of Unions to extort in an effort to get what they want. Guess what? That's about to change! YES WE CAN!

If someone working for a union company wanted to ditch their union, they should be able to do so without having to "Find another job". Just because the Union represents people at a work place should not mean they are FORCED to be part of that union in order to work for that company.
If people were able to tell unions to go fuck themselves, I am pretty sure you would have workers striking against the Union by dumping them. This could actually rein in the unions and FORCE them to start focusing on the ONLY thing that's important, THE WORKERS.
The Union has gotten to be such a political machieen wrapped up in everything but fighting for the workers. Time to pull the plug.

Nothing like a fair vote huh? Because there has NEVER been violence in the assemblyof a union right? So it goes without saying there would be no resistance or violence trying to dis-band a union as well?

Are you trying to say that your Province selling the booze makes less people decide to drive when drunk? Don't they still have to drive home from the Province store?
