I find it funny Obama got up on national television the other night at a joint session of congress to express a dire need to "PASS" a jobs bill that at this moment does not even exist. Even more concerning is that he has gassed up Air Force one and is now flying all over the country trying to push this non-existent jobs bill.
From all I head him say (17 times mind you) that "We Must Pass this Bill", you would think there would be a bill on the table. As it stands Obama must not have done his homework while on his last vacation at Martha's Vinyard. While he promised to be working on a jobs bill, he must have gotten distracted.
What I also find humorous about his speech is the fact that the associated press fact checked a great deal of his claims only to find that many if not most of them were not true, outright LIES in fact! I guess we would all be appalled but this is nothing new when it comes to Obama.
No, many people see this new jobs bill as what it really is... A $450 billion dollar tax payer contribution to Obama's re-election campaign to dole out to big labor unions and buy votes. After all the last $800 billion dollars he was given did absolutely nothing in the ways of improving the sagging economy and unemployment still remains over 9%.
His new "We must pass this bill" speech was very reminicent of Pelosi's "We must pass this bill now to see whats in it". Only this time around the Democrats do not hold the purse, and he is going to have a very hard time selling this bill to the American people, let alone a Republican house. Another 1/2 trillion dollars is a lot of money and many people suggest Obama ditch the spending and just cut the $450 billion, but we all know this bill is a campaign contribution in disguise.
Most, if not all realize there is no way in hell the Republicans are going to pass this bill, if only because it does not exist. What Obama hopes to do here is give plausible deniability when the shit hits the economy fan later on down the road. He will simply say "I tried to pass a jobs bill". We all know it's coming.
Obama turning unemployment benefits into welfare is also disturbing. Many want to claim unemployment benefits are not a government hand out, but at the current 99 weeks of coverage it's clear to see this once funded by employees safety net is now another democratic charity hand out/entitlement financed by tax payers. It's sole purpose to buy votes at the tax payers expense. One has to wonder what extending unemployment benefits from 99 weeks to 142 weeks will do? The very idea that one can collect these benefits for almost 3 years without having to work is a slap in the face to people that do have to work every day. It also sets people up to start losing benefits right before the 2012 election, so that Obama can buy some more votes on the tax payer dime by offering up yet another extension. Lets face it, not long ago the idea of 99 weeks of unemployment benefits was un-heard of, now we are talking about 142 weeks? Whats next? 200 weeks? If only to make it a round number?
No, Obama and his non-existant jobs bill needs to be shut down, except there is one little problem... It does not exist. More hot air from Owebama and a total waste of everyones time and money on something that is sure to fail. If it didn't work before, what makes him think things will be diffrent this time?
So now we have gone from "We must pass this bill to see what in it", to "We must pass this bill in order to write it". NICE.
It defines Obama's Presidency. All talk and no action.

Whatever liberal voted that they love to waste American money better savor the flavor because I doubt these liberals will be running the country for much longer.
NY and AZ is PROOF.

I read somewhere that the cost per job to the tax payer if this bill gets passed is somewhere around $225,000!
Imagine that! Spending $225,000 to give someone a $40-$60,000 job!
To come up with the dollar amount you only need to divide the number of projected jobs by $450 billion dollars. The math is pretty simple. Try it and tell me what you come up with.
Proof positive that this new jobs bill is a hand out for unions aka an Obama campaign contribution. I myself would rather see this money divided by the 300 million Americans and then checks sent out to people. It sure would be better than letting the government squander it.

The jobs bill isn't just about creating overpriced busy work for people, it's about overhauling America's crumbling infrastructure. The $225,000 Doesn't just buy $50 grand in wages... It also buys a lot of concrete and steel, and it does so at a time when borrowing money is actually very cheap, and when construction jobs are badly needed.
If you had a choice, would you rather pay somebody unemployment, or pay them to fix things that need fixing anyway. Especially when the things they will be fixing are schools, air ports, roads, and bridges which pay for themselves many many times over.
This is exactly what President Eisenhower did with his massive interstate highway system, which I would submit to you helped build our great nation and has been one of the best investments our government has ever made. It's time to do some repairs on it, something that has traditionally had vast bi-partisan support... At least until Obama became president, and the Republicans decided it's better to let America crumble if it can in any way hurt him politically.
But I'm told it's not a race thing, so at least the Republicans have that going for them.

You know PowerStroker, concrete isn't that expensive when you got machines to recycle the old roads (which the governments do).
Furthermore, Obama could have had all the steel he needed if he wouldn't have just GIVEN all them cash for clunker turn in's to salvage yards for nothing.
A lot of people were borrowing money cheep before the housing bubble too, but don't let that example turn off the Owebama administration from mortgaging the nation to the hilt.
The idea of spending $225,000 per job is absolute insanity.
