At what point do the people on wall street get to come out of their offices holding signs to tell these people to go back to work? Oh that's right, the people in the offices and sky scrapers ARE WORKING, and thus do not have time to waste.
I think it's quite clear this whole "Occupy" protest is another political ax that is being ground by the loony left in an effort to change the status quo from "Hope and Change" to "Doom and Gloom" for the 2012 election campaign. Now that Obama and the Democrats have no-one else to blame but themselves they need to make up a new "boogie" man.
The very fact that the NY Occupy protest has STRONG ties to the once was corrupt ACORN, all of their credibility is lost. As if the recent shredding of documents, firing of employees and increase in internal surveillance by the people in charge of the "occupy" purse isn't poof enough, there are even rumors circulating that these protesters are being PAID! Not only that, there is proof that homeless bums are being driven to protest sites and dropped off, fed and kept up!
Now to make things WORSE the Occupy protesters are suggesting people move their money from big banks to local credit unions, which to me is a bad idea because credit unions can not be trusted with anything more than a $500-$1000 a week pay check.
I support the occupy movement. And I'm wondering on what charge you plan to arrest them for. They have a Constituional right to free speech and assembly. If anyone should be arrested, it's the banksters that drove our economy into a ditch by speculating with other people's money.
Arrest them for trespass, disturbing the peace, and mostly for being associated with the corrupt entity formerly known as ACORN.
Did you ever see the list of demands from these protesters!? There is no unity in WHY they are there!
IIRC one person claimed to be there because laws on the books preventing him from keeping certain animals!
These people are telling folks to come to their protest for ANY REASON, yet their big Ex-Acorn organizers draw up their complaints and use these idiots as a back-drop.
They have a right to free speech and assembly, however it's been proven some of them are being paid, none of them all agree WHY they are there and many of them are bums living on the street. Where do you think these bums will go when Acorn is done parading them around in the name of their agenda? Let me tell you.... Back on the same streets Acorn picked them up from!
I say make these protesters aware that their organizers have been proven to be corrupt in the past. If they choose to ignore the facts then arrest them, then sue the SHIT out of this new Acorn manifestation.
Let me see... Didn't New York recently snub the Democrats and hire a Republican in their most recent election? Oh... Now it's clear WHY this is going on.

ACORN was shut down in the wake of the September 2009 release of selectively edited videos by two conservative activists including James O'Keefe using a hidden camera to elicit damaging responses from low-level ACORN employees that appeared to advise them how to hide prostitution activities and avoid taxes.[9] A nationwide controversy immediately ensued resulting in a loss of funding from government and private donors,[10][11][12] including a "defund ACORN" act passed by Congress. Following the publication of the videos, four different independent investigations by various state and city Attorneys General and the GAO released in 2009 and 2010 cleared ACORN, finding its employees had not engaged in criminal activities and that the organization had managed its federal funding appropriately, and calling the videos deceptively and selectively edited to present the workers in the worst possible light. Despite this, by March 2010, 15 of ACORN's 30 state chapters had already closed[10] and the group announced it was closing its remaining state chapters and disbanding.[13]
In 2009, in light of various alleged scandals a number of Democrats who once advertised their connections to ACORN began to distance themselves, as Republicans began to use ACORN to portray Democrats as corrupt.[106] In light of the controversies, the United States House and Senate, by wide margins, attached amendments to pending spending legislation that would temporarily prohibit the federal government from funding ACORN, or any agency that had been involved in similar scandals including money authorized by previous legislation. President Obama signed the bill into law on October 1.[107] ACORN sued the United States Government in the United States District Court in Brooklyn over the measure, known as the "Defund ACORN Act," claiming it was a bill of attainder, and therefore unconstitutional.
As part of the effort by some chapters to stay afloat by severing ties with the national organization, California ACORN changed its name to Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment,[8][not in citation given]New York ACORN renamed itself New York Communities for Change,[10] and an offshoot of the ACORN organization called Acorn Housing changed its name to Affordable Housing Centers of America[114] yet has retained the same tax and employee identification numbers that it held under its former name.[115]
