Interestingly enough, a huge chunk of the 1% actually wants to help out with the problem of running red ink in our government by paying higher taxes like they did in the 90's when everybody did better. The probem is, a majority in the House of Representitaves won't give them their wish for fear that the part of the 1% that is very politically involved will punish them for it.

When one of the two major political parties caters only to a tiny fringe, we end up with terrible policy.
