New Mercedes-Benz SL Video - 80's Mercedes

Someone in the family forwarded me this video on Facebook

https://youtu.be/m9md97nN_SQ

I thought it was pretty cool that he thought of us when he seen it. Figures they would come out with a cool Mercedes SL song after I buy a new Corvette! LOL, oh well, I can still play it while driving the ole' SEL.

LOL,

That wasn't too-bad-a-tune to be honest with you. The 380SL she was driving was nice, but the 5.7-Vette has its own appeal too IMO.

Oh-yeah Rastus! Trust me, I don't have any form of buyers remorse with regards to my Corvette.

I see WAY LESS Corvettes on the road than I do Mercedes, maybe not W126's but were talking all Corvettes, so it's only fair to include all Mercedes.

I do love driving the Corvette, I really do... But there is one thing I have noticed that is different between Mercedes and Corvette in terms of people on the road.

1st, everyone wants to race... 98% of the time the person next to you is going to floor it or take off quicker than normal, just to feel like they are racing a Corvette. I have gotten used to it now, and only rarely entertain such foolishness.

2nd, only Corvette owners will approach or acknowledge you. In the Mercedes you always get the random old guy (regardless what they are driving) that would kindly tell you that the era pulls on their heart strings. That stuff just doesn't happen in a Corvette, getting in and out of the vehicle you can feel people staring at you, you can feel them thinking "what a show off", it's rare you even get eye contact. I'm serious! LOL, it's like this bright red "look at me" piece of beautifully molded plastic that screams "Try me".
