Whoa, hold it right there buddy... Just as I have said in the other thread where you parroted this exact same nonsense,

The Federal Reserve (currently a Democrat institution, but will soon change), raised the rates PRIOR to Trump taking office, which in turn increased the costs of ALL credit, including mortgages. I know a thing or two about mortgages now PowerStroke! The FHA was a worthless waste of my time, and come to find out, FHA was really more expensive when you consider the fact they require mortgage insurance premiums. It's not that these mortgages are more expensive per-se... It's just that people are required to put down more money... Two totally different things! It was actually the latest rate hike, under Obama, that raised the actual cost... What you complain about does not raise the cost, just requires more down. I personally think it's a good idea where someone is buying a home at 100% LTV because unless they have equity in their home, it's risky.

Also, climate change is a fallacy... There is nothing that humans can do to stop the world from turning or the tectonic plates underneath us from moving and spreading. Tell us PowerStroker, what could have the Dinosaurs done to prevent Pangea from separating? You are aware earth was but one continent once upon a time!? Failing an answer for that, what could Humans do to stop the inevitable continuation of this phenomena? If you said absolutely nothing, you would be right! If you said, well let's tax people and line our pockets under the false narrative that said funds will somehow stop this phenomena. It's an outright JOKE PowerStroker! The ONLY reason Obama has been pushing this agenda is so that he can still make money after he leaves office, much like how the Clinton Foundation operates, in that everyone just lines their pockets and travels for free. Well I may as well use this thread to chronicle President Trump's journey through the presidency. To be fair, today he did something I like, which is to begin moving us out of the TPP trade deal.
As a blue collar worker I appreciate when someone of either party does things to protect us from outsourcing. Granted there are some serious downsides to protectionism, but I think this one was the right call.

We as a country are not supposed to discriminate against people of other religions, we are supposed to be as Reagan put it "The shining city on the hill."

Sorry PowerStroker, the majority of Americans don't give a $hit, as many from the very area you're speaking of will tell you flat out that many of these people have no papers whatsoever. It's also a shame you have to resort to lies, because it's a 4 month hold for "extreme vetting".

The majority of Americans would rather these people wait the time needed to be properly vetted than have to deal with even ONE terrorist in a US city shooting people up. I have to say I agree with them... This in no way affects people here with valid ID, Visas, Green cards or other papers... It deals exclusively with key regions known as terrorist hot-spots.

Well, I'd prefer to call it a Republican Fascist Dictatorship since Fascism is the far right extreme of the political spectrum, just as socialism is the far left. Whereas Republicans are the right wing party it makes sense.

It seems the Republicans are far more apt to turn a non partisan law enforcement office like attorney general, into a political hatchet factory just like George W Bush did with his selective political prosecutions ie: Don Siegelman, Valerie Plame etc. Our acting attorney general was fired for not being a rubber stamp for Trump, and for bringing up very legitimate legal questions about his actions. Yet FBI director Comey who is a Republican but Obama appointed him anyway because of a belief in his integrity, torpedoed a presidential election and was not fired by Obama. Obama believed the justice department should be independent of politics, Trump does not.

These are dangerous times we are entering, I'd sure hate to be a brown person in America these days.

Everyone knows this will be resolved sooner than later, and I and very disappointed with the Bush appointed Judge there in Seattle, but I have had serious questions about the Bush family every since they joined sides with the Clinton's when Jeb dropped out... At the time I wanted to think it was a well executed plan by the Bush family to dog Clinton in the polls because of the serious hatred that Democrats instilled into the minds of their liberal base, as it pertained to GW Bush. I think maybe this Judge just wasn't able to read between the lines, or all the time spent in liberal Seattle has screwed up his mind...

It matters in the least anyway, as Iran has just launched another missile... There will be war soon, and nothing your silly backwards party can do will stop Trump once that happens... It's called "War Powers" and people like this turncoat liberal Judge and anyone else who would put another nations citizens before our own will feel the wrath of the "real" American people.

And I should also mention, that should it come to pass that the actions of this Judge allows terrorist to enter the country and cause trouble, the Judge should not be immune to any legal action as a result. Defying a Presidential Executive Order is one thing, purposely trying to allow people in who need further vetting is borderline treason.

You didn't answer my question. Much of the reason our national debt increased by a huge amount under the Obama administration is because of wars started under the Bush administration. I'm simply asking whether you think it would be a good idea to raise taxes to pay for these things? Or should we pass this debt on to future generations with interest?

I don't think that's quite fair PowerStroker... I'll agree war is expensive, but Obama squandered a lot of the money invested in Iraq by pulling out and letting ISIS gain footing there.

But to answer your question, I got a feeling that unlike other Presidents, Trump will make whatever nation we invade or eradicate pay for the war. I really believe that after he toppled an enemy's government he would pillage that nation much like a carpetbagger would take over a company and sell it off in peices to the highest bidder. He may even make a nice profit for us too!

Just like Mexico, they don't know it yet but they are going to pay for that wall! And while Americans might pay a little for it so we're not stuck waiting and leaving our boarder open, it will come to pass that Mexico will be losing far more than what they refuse to pay for the wall. My guess is Trump will put the squeeze on Mexico so hard they will be begging to pay for that wall before it's even finished.

I thought you guys already spend in taxes over 100-billion dollars per year for your Military Industrial Complex...Surely once at war, things like R&D are put on the back-burner to see how current designs eliminate people, & this would off-set the fuel-costs to transport troops & weapons over ? Surely there's a special concession from fuel companies to lower fuel costs when at war ?...

Oh yes, we do spend more on our military than the next ten world powers combined. This is our normal peace time military budget which is actually well more than a mere 100 Billion. However in times of war, we go hugely off budget and just add it to our national debt. I'm merely suggesting that it would be a fiscally responsible thing to do if we were to impose a war tax to make up the enormous budgetary shortfall and prevent future generations of Americans from having to pay for our wars with interest, on top of whatever wars they need to wage. Our recent dabble in Iraq alone is going to cost us more than 4 Trillion before it's all said and done, this is on top of our normal military budget.

What do you say Rex, are you with me on a War tax? It's our patriotic duty you know.

I'm not sure I understand the particulars of this tax....

For starters, it just sounds odd... I don't think it would muster support, if only because there are other ways of doing this.

I am not sure exactly what the war in Iraq cost, but I'm positive a "War Tax" would be a non-starter.

Why not just create a "Refugee Tax" ?....It could work really well, since you have refugee problems already.

And then when you go to war, you could increase this tax for the new refugees that might need your assistance....Of course, modern technology would almost ensure that there were no survivors, so once the tax is set-in-place, it could cover the expenses PowerStroker is talking about. Kind of like paying credit-in-advance, to reduce debt after the fact.

Mr.Trump already has billions of personal dollars, that I'm sure he'd like to gift to the war...It's called "Putting your money where your mouth is"...(Though maybe he'd rather use your money)...
