So from what I am reading, which is not much, I hear that Trump Tower in New York has had two fires since Trump became President.
Many are saying it's retaliation, but others are saying that his high end establishment does not have sprinklers!
What bothers me is that very little mention or coverage is being made available, as you would think a smoking building in New York would have much more information on the news outlets.
I'd be interested to hear what caused the fire, and any other thoughts anyone has.

What I find amazing is the NYC Fire department that was able to put this fire out! From the looks of it, seems like it could have been much-much worse.
Guess the question on everyones minds is - what caused the fire!?

I'm sure that's all under investigation. My understanding is the building was built before sprinklers were required, and current law states that it would only require installation of sprinkler systems if a permit were pulled for a "major renovation". I doubt very much that there is any foul play involved here, just an unfortunate accident.
You're probably right about it just being an accident, and I did read that since the building was built in 1983 that sprinklers weren't required. Apparently they must have good water pressure near by as they were able to extinguish the fire pretty quick which I though showed excellent skill on the part of New York's fire department! It will be a shame as I am sure the entire building will smell like smoke now for awhile. I am very interested to learn what happened although given the fact the owner of the unit also died in the fire it's completely possible they fell asleep with something on.
I heard about it from my kid when I was walking out the door to visit a friend who was having a UFC fight party. Got up today thinking it would be all over the news like everything else and was shocked there weren't more details. Guess it was old news by then. lol
