The FBI Has Released An Incredible Report!

proxy?url=http%3A%2F%2Fikwiz%2Ecom%3A530

The FBI released a report in April that was widely supportive of the need for the 2nd Ammendment. The intelligence agency collected data that showed armed citizens play a crucial role in helping to stop and deter active shooters.

As reported by westernjournal.com
There were 50 active shooter incidents in 2016 and 2017 combined, leaving many to question if America is, in fact, safer when armed.

However, a recent investigation by the FBI in April showed that, in numerous incidents involving active shooters, there were people who stopped them by use of a weapon.

Armed and unarmed citizens engaged the shooter in 10 incidents. They safely and successfully ended the shootings in eight of those incidents, read the report. Their selfless actions likely saved many lives.

The enhanced threat posed by active shooters and the swiftness with which active shooter incidents unfold support the importance of preparation by law enforcement officers and citizens alike.

Ten active shooters had been confronted by citizens, and eight of them ended successfully, according to The Daily Caller. Four of those eight shooters were stopped by a lawfully armed citizen.

In one incident, a citizen possessing a valid firearms permit exchanged gunfire with the shooter, causing the shooter to flee to another scene and continue shooting, the report read.

Yet, in the wake of so many gun shootings and violence, the call for disarming American citizens remains.

The foremost intelligence agency in the U.S. has put out a report that completely validates the important of the 2nd ammendment.
Are you really surprised that its been kept under wraps until now?

Boulder passes sweeping anti-gun bill; pro-2A nonprofit vows to sue individual councilmembers

The Boulder City Council unanimously passed a sweeping gun control ordinance Tuesday night banning "assault weapons" and bump stocks, even as a pro-Second Amendment group threatened to retaliate by suing individual councilmembers.

In a surprising turn, one Colorado councilwoman admitted that she disagreed with the ordinance "in many ways," saying it would invite a flood of litigation -- despite voting for it.

The city defines assault weapons as "semi-automatic firearms designed with military features to allow rapid spray firing for the quick and efficient killing of humans."

Included in the definition are "all semiautomatic action rifles with a detachable magazine with a capacity of twenty-one or more rounds," as well as "semiautomatic shotguns with a folding stock or a magazine capacity of more than six rounds or both."

Those possessing assault weapons already can keep them under the law, but owning bump stocks and high-capacity magazines will be become illegal in July. Certain law enforcement and military personnel are exempted from the ordinance.

During the public comment period for the legislation, the nonprofit Mountain States Legal Foundation promised to sue the city for "violations of the Second, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendments," as well as the Colorado Constitution, Fox's KDVR-TV reported.

RETIRED SUPREME COURT JUSTICE SAYS SECOND AMENDMENT SHOULD BE REPEALED

A staff attorney for the group, Cody Wisniewski, said that individual councilmembers would be named in the lawsuit, according to the network.

Lawsuits generally cannot be directed personally at individual lawmakers for their official actions in legislative sessions, but naming elected officials in civil actions against the government is often acceptable as long as plaintiffs are not seeking to hold lawmakers personally liable for allegedly unconstitutional conduct.

Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano on a judge ruling a teen suing to challenge a sweeping anti-gun law in Florida cannot remain anonymous.

The nonprofit's threat of legal action apparently did not come as a surprise to members of the city council, who said they anticipated complications.

"We're going to see a lot of court cases coming before us," Councilwoman Mirabai Nagle said despite voting for the ordinance, according to Colorado Public Radio. "I think that we're going to spend a lot of time and money. It's not that lives aren't worth that, but I think that there was a better way of going about this.

"I don't agree with this ordinance in many ways," Nagle added. "It's not perfect."

The proposed ordinance led to protests last week, with some pro-Second Amendment activists carrying long guns openly in the streets, according to local reports.

The Boulder City Council tweeted Tuesday that it would soon consider additional amendments to the ordinance, such as raising the age to buy a firearm.

The bill comes after several other state and local governments have passed contentious gun-control measures in the wake of the February mass shooting at a Florida high school.

Amid a barrage of taunts from protesters calling him a "liar" and a "traitor" last month, for example, Vermont Gov. Phil Scott enacted the state's first major gun control measures during a heated signing ceremony at the Statehouse.

Pure beautiful art! Id be afraid to take them out to shoot, I wouldnt want to put a scratch or nick or some other mark on them. I would put theM in an acrylic case and set up Mission:Impossible style laser alarms and look lovingly at them whilst slurping my morning brew.

Louisiana Switchblade Ban Almost Over?

Theres no doubt in most Second Amendment advocates minds that the right to keep and bear arms applies to firearms. However, many of us forget that the term arms was never limited to just guns. It also included bladed weapons which were still routinely used on the battlefield at the time of the Bill Of Rights was ratified.

However, many places still impose restrictions on bladed weapons, sometimes making them more restricted than guns.

In Louisiana, however, the knife rights are set for a big winif the governor signs the bill, at least.

On April 13th, 2018, the Louisiana repeal of the switchblade ban (HB892) unanimously passed the House.  From legiscan.com:

(4)(a)
The manufacture, ownership, possession, custody or use intentional concealment on ones person of any switchblade knife, spring knife, or other knife or similar instrument having a blade which may be automatically unfolded or extended from a handle by the manipulation of a button, switch, latch, or similar contrivance located on the handle. Section 2. R.S. 14:95(J) is hereby repealed in its entirety.

CODING:
Words in struck through type are deletions from existing law; words underscored are additions.

On May 10th, 2018 the repeal of the switchblade ban (HB892) passed the Senate. The vote was 21-yes, 11-no, and 7- absent.

Now the bill is going to Governor Edwards desk.

The bill is part of the ongoing trend to restore the legal ownership and carry of knives in American society. The bans never made much sense. Why would a switchblade be more deadly than a fixed blade knife?  The bans were pushed as yellow journalism as part of the Progressive agenda. There was no serious data or study behind the bans just prejudice and a push for publicity.  The federal ban on interstate sales of switchblade knives and the importation of them, was passed in 1958.

It was fictional portrayals of youth gang violence that took the switchblade ban over the top, politically. West Side Story seems to have had a pivotal role. Consider the implications. It was not fact that drove the politics. It was fiction, promoted by the progressive media. It was a version of the big lie technique. The pro-genitive nature of the media coverage in promoting and eventually creating the ban on switchblades cannot be overemphasized.

In fairness to the lawmakers of those bygone years, fiction drives most restrictions of the right to keep and bear arms. Just look at the nonsense being spread by the anti-gun crusaders on a regular basis. Its nothing if not fictional. I mean, on one hand they claim our country is just too dangerous because of all these guns, but when you point out to someone that crime is down, they put on an impressive display of mental gymnastics to try and prove themselves right.

Of course, it doesnt work, but it is kind of funny to watch.

As for repealing a switchblade ban, it needs to happen. These knives are no more dangerous than any other bladed instrument. Theyre just easier to open. Thats the only difference, and Ive opened lock blades as quickly as a switchblade opens, so its well past time to repeal dumb laws based on movies and books, rather than reality.

WE SELL AR-15S BECAUSE WERE NOT DICKS, PAWN SHOP TROLLS SPORTING GOODS CHAIN

Store takes a jab at Dicks decision to stop selling AR-15s

A South Carolina pawn shop cleverly trolled Dicks Sporting Goods by hanging a banner in front of their store that reads, We Sell AR-15s Because Were Not Dicks.

The sign is a response to Dicks Sporting Goods decision to stop selling AR-15 rifles after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooting.

The owners of Cross Roads Pawn and Auto in Little River, SC put the sign up last week and pawnbroker Brad Stamper said, It wasnt nothing negative or trying to promote violence or anything.

Store manager Barbara Davey told WPDE, We have a few people, you know, who werent in favor of the sign but our positive feedback really outweighed that negative feedback.

The store also released a statement regarding the sign.

Gun experts said unpublished study showed that guns were used for protection far more often than to commit crime.
themaven.net

Gun experts said unpublished study showed that guns were used for protection far more often than to commit crime.

Atlanta, GA A new paper out of Florida State University accused the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of hiding results from a survey they conducted that said guns were used for defense three-and-a-half times more often than they are used by criminals.

There were nearly 2.5 million instances a year where people used a firearm for self-defense, defending others or protecting their property, according to the CDC student that remained unpublished.

The CDC conducted the study with data they collected from 1996, 1997, and 1998 and the findings were just recently uncovered, Reason Magazine reported.

The unpublished study supported previous findings by Florida State University criminologist Gary Kleck and fellow Florida State University professor Marc Gertz who have claimed since the early 1990s that there were between 760,000 and 2.5 million defensive handgun uses per year.

The CDCs findings meant that people were using guns in the United States more often for defensive purposes than for offensive uses.

But the CDC never published the lost survey data that Kleck uncovered.

Kleck released a new paper on Feb. 26 on the issue titled, What Do CDCs Surveys Say About the Frequency of Defensive Gun Uses?

In that paper, Kleck exposed the fact that the CDC did national surveys asking about defensive gun use in 1996, 1997, and 1998.

The CDCs findings were that an average of 2.46 million U.S. adults used a gun for self defense in each of those years from 1996 to 1998.

The CDC survey question was: "During the last 12 months, have you confronted another person with a firearm, even if you did not fire it, to protect yourself, your property, or someone else?"

The people surveyed were not to include incidents from jobs like policing, where using firearms was part of the job, Reason Magazine reported.

Kleck found that the CDC's results showed guns were used defensively by people about 3.6 times as often as they were used offensively by criminals.

In his new paper, Kleck accused the CDC of suppressing those findings, and discussed reasons the data may have been hidden.

UPDATE: Kleck pulled his study over criticism that only 15 states were involved, not all 50, which only accounts for 27 percent of the population, according to Reason Magazine. The states included were: Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Montana, Ohio, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

When gun control advocates start talking about the need to find laws that keep guns out of criminals hands, but supposedly not interfere with the law-abidings ability to buy firearms, I cant help but laugh. Its a joke. Anyone with half a brain knows that any new laws that they push through will interfere with the law-abidings ability to buy guns.

But the kicker? None of them will actually stop criminals from getting guns.

Take this example from Chicago.

A Chicago gang member faces federal charges for trafficking guns bought off Armslist hundreds of miles away into the city, prosecutors announced last week.

Jaiqail Wright allegedly brokered dozens of deals between fellow members of the Conservative Vice Lords street gang and his associates, John Phillips and Christopher Henderson, over Facebook throughout 2016 and 2017, court records show. All three men, aged 23, face up to five years in prison for dealing firearms without a license. Phillips, a twice-convicted felon, faces additional charges for illegal possession of a gun.

Federal prosecutors said Henderson using a fake Kentucky drivers license bearing the name Chris Hendridge bought up to 90 firearms from private sellers in Kentucky listed on Armslist.com. Cell phone records and seller interviews mentioning Phillips late model white muscle car tied both men to the purchases, court records show.

Police later intercepted Facebook messages between Henderson and Wright allegedly detailing brokered deals for many of the guns trafficked from the Kentucky Armslist sales. Some of these firearms turned up in crimes in Chicago and surrounding suburbs including a carjacking just four months after Henderson and Phillips bought the gun in a Louisville grocery store parking lot.

In other words, Henderson found a way around the laws in place to provide weapons to gang bangers in Chi-Town.

And no, universal background checks wouldnt have done squat since he was using a fake ID. The background check would have come back for the alias, not his real name. The only hope would have been another set of eyes potentially noticing the ID card wasnt legit. Thats it.

We keep seeing, time and again, that these criminals will continue to circumvent the law to get their hands on guns. They dont care about the law.

Then again, maybe its because someone who can buy a gun for her felon boyfriend only gets a year in prison for her straw buys. In other words, the punishment is non-existent for many of these people. They break the law, then get a short stay in prison, then theyre back on the streets in no time at all. Theres no deterrent.

Granted, I suspect Henderson is looking at more time than that woman got, but only because of the scale of his crimes. He not only purchased guns illegally but then sold them to some of the worst scum on the streets. Thatll get him a couple more years. At least, I hope so.

But if you really want to say youre serious about curbing this kind of thing, why not start with talking about beefier sentencing for those who secure firearms for prohibited individuals rather than getting in the way of us law-abiding citizens exercising our constitutionally protected rights?

You know, just for fun.

Heres What Happened When Two Democrat States Banned Bump Stocks

MAY 25, 2018 7:12 PM

(Zero Hedge) Most people didnt know what a bump stock was before the massacre in Las Vegas last year, where a gunman opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest music festival.

It was revealed that the shooter had used bump stocks to make his semi-automatic weapons fire at a rate more resembling automatic fire. Automatic weapons have been banned in America since 1934, and many have called for a ban on bump stocks as a result.

There was some discussion of doing so at a federal level, but like every other potential gun control measure, it ended up going nowhere. Instead, a few States have decided to ban them on their own. New Jersey and Massachusetts are among them, banning bump stock purchases, and requiring all outstanding bump stocks to be turned in. The gun accessory isnt all too common, and there are only 8,500 bump stocks in Massachusetts, and 5,600 in New Jersey.

The problem for regulators is that there isnt a record of who owns them, so theyve had to rely on citizens voluntarily turning in their bump stocks to comply with the law.

Massachusetts and New Jersey are both heavily liberal States, and yet virtually nobody turned in their bump stocks. Only three people did in Massachusetts, while a total of zero did in New Jersey.

Bump stock bans are currently awaiting governors signatures in Hawaii and Connecticut, and Delaware and Rhode Island are set to ban them soon too. A gun control proponent may argue that despite the impossibility of confiscating all the current bump stocks in circulation, a ban on sales prevents the supply from growing.

Regardless, the real lesson here is that any gun confiscation schemes the Left may cook up would never be obeyed if attempted. If gun owners in far-left States wont even turn in a gun accessory, what could of gun control measure would owners comply with?

Probably none.

Military Vet Who Survived Benghazi Attack Blasts Parkland Activist For Tweet

A U.S. military veteran who survived the 2012 attack in Benghazi slammed leftist Parkland activist David Hogg over Memorial Day weekend after Hogg tweeted about school shootings.

Hogg tweeted:

Kris Paronto, who is a former Army Ranger, slammed Hogg for the tweet:

Paronto was part of the CIA annex security team that responded to the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012, helping to save nearly two dozen lives during the siege for over 13 hours.

Asked last September how the average American could keep him/herself and their family safe, he replied, "Training is absolutely critical for self-defense. Under stress, you are always going to resort to your highest level of training. Just going out and purchasing a firearm will be of little help if you dont have the repetition and stress induced by good training."

Despite Best Anti-Gun Effort, Gun Sales Hit Record Numbers Again

Posted at 8:30 am on June 06, 2018 by Tom Knighton

Anti-gunners dont want you buying guns. Thats why their efforts include an attempt to culturally exclude anyone who is pro-gun from just about anything they can. Theyre not content to just make guns illegal, they want to make guns unacceptable.

However, those efforts arent doing so hot. In fact, the firearm industry apparently hit another record for gun sales last month.

The number of gun-related background checks reached an all-time high once again in May, a report posted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Monday shows.

In May 2018, the FBI processed 2,002,992 queries through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Thats more than any previous May in the systems history with May 2017 holding the previous record at 1,942,677. April 2018 saw more NICS checks than any previous April. March 2018 saw more NICS checks than any previous March.

NICS checks are considered the strongest indicator for gun sales because every gun sale made through a licensed dealer requires a NICS check and some states require the checks on used gun sales between private individuals. However, the number of NICS checks does not exactly match the number of guns sold in the United States for a number of reasons. Multiple guns can be sold during a single NICS check, most states do not require NICS checks on used sales between private individuals, and many states run NICS checks on those applying for gun-carry permits.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the gun industrys trade group, said the spike in NICS checks could be attributed more to permit checks than gun sales, though it said gun sales remained near record levels. The group produces their own analysis of the NICS numbers each month but notes that their numbers suffer from the same uncertainty affecting the FBIs underlying numbers.

These statistics represent the number of firearm background checks initiated through the NICS, the FBI wrote in its report on the NICS numbers. They do not represent the number of firearms sold. Based on varying state laws and purchase scenarios, a one-to-one correlation cannot be made between a firearm background check and a firearm sale.

It would seem that despite their efforts to stigmatize gun ownership in this country, theyre failing.

Yes, many of those purchases are from people who already own guns. However, many gun owners are also able to bypass the background check system in their home state by providing a copy of their concealed carry permit. Thus, theyre not counted at all.

That means a number of these probably represent new firearm purchases from first-time gun owners, which isnt all that surprising.

After all, with the media pushing gun control, theyre painting our country as a violent wasteland just one step short of being a Mad Max movie or something. The average person looks at that and doesnt necessarily think, We need gun laws to make that stop. They tend to think, If thats true, I need a gun.

Oh, some of those may support gun control for others. After all, theres a fair bit of hypocrisy on the anti-gun side. But theyre still armed and, over time, they may start to reevaluate their arguments in favor of gun laws. Ive seen it happen more than once.

Thats not good for the anti-gunners, thats for sure. Especially since even a cursory examination of those arguments shows just how idiotic they really are.
