Former President Bill Clinton insisted in a weekend interview that he doesn't owe a personal apology to Monica Lewinsky, the former White House intern whose adult life has been defined by their inappropriate sexual affair and the global scrutiny that followed.
'No,' he told NBC in an interview airing Monday on the 'Today' show. 'I do not I have never talked to her. But I did say publicly on more than one occasion that I was sorry.'
'I apologized to everybody in the world,' Clinton said, implying that was enough.
And the flustered former president, more famous for his Don Juan-like seductions than for his policy legacy, portrayed himself, not Lewinsky, as history's victim in the mass-media's retelling of the 1990s saga.
'A lot of the facts have been omitted to make the story work,' he declared, 'I think partly because they're frustrated that they got all these serious allegations against the current occupant of the Oval Office and his voters don't seem to care.'
And Clinton complained in the interview that he left the presidency financially ruined because of the costs associated with the legal consequences of his actions.
'Nobody believes that I got out of that for free,' he said. 'I left the White House $16 million in debt,'
He's worth about $80 million today, aided by an aggressive schedule of speaking events many of which paid him six-figure fees for individual appearances.
Now maybe people who worship the Clintons will begin to see the type of people they truly are. Anyone who didnt believe Bill Clinton was the type of person who could rape someone may reconsider their stance. The Clintons care about Money and power and not the people who are hurt by the decisions they make.
It honestly fascinates me how the media & people are still intrigued about the sexual activity of a now ex-president that happened around 20-years ago, & yet dismiss the corrupted & tragic events of 9/11, & follow up nothing from this horrible day...
It appears folks would rather see people in jail for a blow-job in office than mass murder of the general public...(Both home & abroad)...Amazing ......
Maybe the world will be a better place in a few thousand more years ?...

Right at the very end he says, "Melania said this is okay"... So it must be okay!
Is it ok with you?
Does Donald get to speak for his wife?
Melania seems none too pleased these days...
Melania Trump's office coldly slaps down Giuliani for saying she believes her husband, not Stormy Daniels
Rudy Giuliani's appearance at a Globes conference in Tel Aviv on Wednesday keeps making headlines, first with his suggesting that Kim Jong Un "begged" President Trump "on his hands and knees" to resuscitate their summit, then for hisderogatory comments about Stormy Daniels, and finally for his assertion that first lady Melania Trump absolutely doesn't believe Daniels about the extramarital affair she had with Trump in 2006. Anderson Cooper played that part of Giuliani's comments on CNN Thursday night.
"Now, the first lady might have remained quiet about Mr. Giuliani saying she believes her husband and knows it's not true," Cooper said, "but instead this afternoon her communications director came out with a statement: 'I don't believe Mrs. Trump has ever discussed her thoughts on anything with Mr. Giuliani.'"
Dana Bash called that statement "so unusual." "I mean, Anderson, it's unusual for the first lady's office in any White House to put out a statement on anything of this nature, even if they were talking about a political foe," she said. "This is the first lady's office, as you said, slapping down the president, her husband's, attorney," and "she's basically saying to him, 'Cut it out,' but she's also sending a signal in a very carefully worded statement that maybe she doesn't believe her husband. And there's no question that she left it open to interpretation."
Cooper asked legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin what's going on with Giuliani. "Well, I really think this is a question for a psychiatrist more than a legal analyst," he said. "I mean, he's just sort of riffing out there," to the point where Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also slapped Giuliani down on Thursday for his dig at Kim. Toobin added that Trump probably likes Giuliani's televised theatrics, but "I don't think Robert Mueller's office cares a whit about this stuff he says on television." Peter Weber

More like everyone else convicted of the same exact thing and he files free. It wasn't just a blow job in office it was several rapes.
Doubt the world will ever be a better place unless we can get rid of ALL politicians and hang everyone deserves it.
More like everyone else gets convicted of the same exact thing, and yet he files free.... It wasn't just a blow job in office it was several rapes.
Yo,
I don't know the ins-&-outs of it all, though it did make the news down this way, way-back-when, & he did get re-elected ( I think, I can't remember, it was a while ago now ). And I also couldn't care less, as it's not my business, & doesn't particularly interest me in the slightest. What wisdom does anyone gain here ?..
What surprises me is that "whatever"' happened, occurred several times...It takes 2-to-tango IMO, & I'd suggest that "if" it happened several times, it may not have been Mr.Clinton on some wild sex-rampage...If it was, the event(s) in question would have only occurred once you'd think...
I believe that once the media gets a-hold of news like this, you might a well throw it all away, as it becomes trial-by-media, not by a court. Why not just go back 2000+ years & give everyone a bag of rocks to stone-them-both with ?...
Lying to the public on World TV was the big mistake he made. This is where Mr.Clinton's credibility is lost IMO.
Aren't we all tired of hearing the line "In the interests of National Security" ?...LOL !!!
Cheers,
Rastus

Monica was in his last term. Monica and the BJ was not the problem. His lying about it was, wasn't the public, was congress. Impeached for it but never taken out (near the end of his presidency anyway)
Yes, tired of in the interest of public security. Invent a carb gets 60mpg and that is exactly what you will get back when you apply for a patent. Exactly. Check it out, examples abound. Too bad.
Was there ever any question who was the worst POS liar rapist ever? I know there were other FU'ed pres, but as bad as Bildo??? I dunno, maybe he was caught and they weren't?
I'm not trying to get down on you and Rastus in these replies, I appreciate your views. But can't understand them sometimes!
Don't even get me started on hildo. Just let me pull the trigger on her (and a few more)
Is it bad that I had to re-read this thread to see which president is being discussed?
No, & ROTFLMAO !!! ( You made me think of ol' GWHB from a few months back, with his wandering hands...(I may have to check on the vote count BTW))...
Surely this one belongs in your classic quotes thread ?...
Yes Shawnee B, whilst we're still pulling oil-out-of-the-ground, & secured the Middle East with our allied presence, 20mpg or less will do just fine thanks...( Not to mention having a great & wonderful human-test-bed for all our wonderful new weapons, with both an excuse(?) to use them, & to warrant the defense budget funding )...
