KARMA: Wisconsin Mans Shoe Blows UpHeres Why Women Will Be Laughing

Jun 30, 2018

Women everywhere are going to be laughing when they hear what happened to this 32-year-old Wisconsin pervert.

A Wisconsin man who planned to use a shoe camera to capture footage under womens skirts was injured when the camera battery exploded, the Madison Police Department said.

The man, a 32-year-old unidentified male, purchased a shoe camera that he intended to use to take upskirt videos of females, according to a report from Madison Police Chief Michael Koval. Before the man was able to capture any footage, however, the camera battery exploded, injuring the mans foot. Fox News

From the Madison Police Department report:

WEST: Information/Sex Offense 5:24pm. Officers at the West Police District station were contacted by a subject (32-year-old HM) who wanted to turn himself in to police. The subject reported he had purchased a shoe camera that he intended to use to take upskirt videos of females, but the camera battery had exploded prior to obtaining any video, injuring the subjects foot. The subject was counseled on his actions and released from the scene as no illicit video had been taken. Investigation continuing.

According to the WI State Journal, The subject was counseled on his actions and released, as no illicit video had been taken, Koval said.

However, a 2015 Wisconsin law prohibits anyone from knowingly installing devices to photograph or record under a persons clothing without that persons consent. Violators could be sentenced to up to 3½ years of combined prison and extended supervision and fined $10,000.

As cameras and video recorders become smaller and more affordable, so does the practice of sneaking nonconsensual photos. Mini surveillance cameras, which users hide in shoes, buttons and other low-profile spots, are available for less than $40 online, while more advanced versions like ready-made shoe cameras go for about $350.

As the practice becomes more known, U.S. states and countries around the world are tackling the issue with varied results. Scotland banned the practice almost 10 years ago and some U.S. states, including New York, Wisconsin and Texas, have classified it as a felony.

In 2015, the Wisconsin State Assembly voted to make upskirting a felony.

The 32-yr-old Wisconsin pervert should be thanking his lucky stars that his shoe blew up before he was charged with a felony.
