At the present time Senator Harris would be incorrect. However, because the tax cuts are entirely financed by adding to the debt, and there is no expiration in current law for corporate tax rates, yet there is an expiration in current law for family tax rates, the time will come when the debt will have to be paid back. This will occur after the middle tax cut will have expired whereupon working class people will begin subsidizing the continued tax cuts for billionaires and corporations.
Lets just hope the Dems can attain both houses of Congress and the White House before that happens and find a way to fix it, otherwise Senator Harris will be right.
Senator Harris is DELIBERATELY spreading a false narrative....
you frame it in a lie in your post...it is not just the middle class tax cut that expires ALL individual tax cuts expire...including the tax cuts for billionaires...
corporate taxes are a different animal all together...
they affect all share holders...not just the billionaires but all shareholders...including the pensions of middle class America...
The tax cuts are good and have been a major success...
The individual tax cuts helps all tax payers keep more of their money...which is SPENT in the economy...
The corporate tax cuts are bring companies back into America...this will mean exponentially increased revenues from new streams that would not even exist...
Not republicans fault that socialism sucks and democrats embraces the suck...
wait until all these state on tract to raise to $15 minimum wage actually reach that goal....
Sure it will help the one guy that gets a job at $15 per hour...but it will screw the three people who lost their job due to the increase to the cost of labor...
just because the government DEMANDS you pay $15 per hour does not mean the company can...
very few in the country are making under $10 per hour today...
in 2017 around 550,000 were making $7.25 most of these people were part time employees...
550,000 out of 80,500,000 hourly employees in 2017
Watch New York, Illinois and California run up a massive debt over the next 5-10 years...
as business moves away and job creators go elsewhere to avoid the huge taxes...
Then of course there are a great many small companies who can't seem to pay employees a living wage. I'm not talking about minimum wage, I mean a real living wage.

Ever had employees or independent contractors work for you? Didn't think so. I did.
I have hired contract work in the past actually, when demand for some of my machined parts exceeded my production capability. Since then I have upgraded my machinery and can meet demand myself.
Sometimes, when I buy a lottery ticket for a very big 1/2 billion dollar jackpot, I too will dream a little... About having couch cushions with cash money in them, wiping my ass with money... you know, being filthy rich by lotto windfall. LOL
I am going to pretend I just bought a lotto ticket just so I can get away! This must be how AOC feels every day! LOL

And how did that work for you. I had better luck with independent contractors than employees. Most employees were not worth minimum wage. Lazy, stole, just POS's mostly, not all though. Few good ones. My point is most are not worth a flat $15 an hour. Want a livable wage? Get an education, hopefully a trade then go from there..
And that is even Fox News report, albeit Fox2Detroit, which is very liberal and Democrat.
Democrats are trying desperately to gain traction on anything, and taxes seem to have worked well to cut Bush Sr's reign in half. Make sense they would pounce on this, even if they all did make more money overall, they won't mention that.
I honestly believe that had it not been for my kid turning 17 just a few days before the end of the year - thus disqualifying him for the additional child tax credit, I would have seen the best return ever.
None the less, people do not like surprises like this... I can't blame them, but I am positive these people will correct the withholding amount this year and thus see smaller paychecks - which in turn will resonate in every paycheck rather than just once a year.

The private contractor worked fine, and the quality was good. He made 1000 pieces for me and If I remember they were $3.60 each. At the time I was using a manual lathe so his cost was a lot cheaper than what I could make them for myself. Upon touring his machine shop I was inspired to buy my own CNC lathe. Once the lathe paid for itself my production cost is now about $2 bucks each on a part that sells for $20, so it all worked out.
Yeah Rex, see I'm not full of it. I'm aware my taxes went down a little, but the withholding charts the IRS published caused my withholding amount to be insufficient. Like a great many people I found an unpleasant surprise.
My taxes are paid now, they came to $3408.00 that I had to pay in between Fed and State. Onward and upward.
Amazon reported cash taxes paid or the amount of funds actually paid in taxes of $1.2 billion last year and $957 million in 2017. But these numbers are not broken down geographically, so it is not possible to know which government received the cash.
In other words, focusing on Amazons recent tax burden may not show the full picture, he told AFP. Amazon told AFP on Friday it had invested more than $160 billion in the United States since 2011, building an intricate distribution network as well as cloud computing infrastructure. Amazon pays all the taxes we are required to pay in the US and every country where we operate, including paying $2.6 billion in corporate tax and reporting $3.4 billion in tax expense over the last three years, a spokesman said. Corporate tax is based on profits, not revenues, and our profits remain modest given retail is a highly competitive, low-margin business and our continued heavy investment..
Neither one of you guys has 50k in the couch cushion and 30k flash cash!?
I feel so let down, I was going to ask one of you two if I could crash on your couch when I was in town but forget about it now! lol
While I could pull together 30K cash...I do not keep it in my couch...lol
Most of my assets are in land and homes...
and NO you can not move into one of them...lmao
Unless one of your homes is in the hills of Hollywood, or on the south beach of Miami in the 1500-3800 address range of the A1A - then you have no worries about me inquiring about moving into any of your homes... even if you were AirBNB'n em'.
I'd even settle for a Park City Utah flat... How we looking on any of them locations Nuffan? I am considering a vacation soon! LOL

Oh yeah, if you're a Prime member you're for sure a Bezos fan! You're in the cocoon for sure! LOL
I am also pretty sure your 401k would take a hit, regardless of its diversification if Amazon took a big hit or gawd forbid it's bubble popped and it pulled the market down some with it.
I don't have anything against Bezos, and I wish him only the best in his endeavors! But he could slide MacKenzie my number if he is all done with that! LOL
I am not a big Amazon guy, I consider myself a big eBay guy... I have used both, early on and found Amazon to be seriously lacking! I can not understand how they are so big, something isn't right with this company. Mark my words.

It is the ignorance the left tries to play to sell their narrative that billionaires make slaves of the rest of us which is bullshit...
take all the money from the billionaires (every penny they have) and it would not fund the government for one year...
Verizon paid no taxes a few years back on a year where they had record profits...
not much was said about that...
seems it is okay when a corporation does the same thing under a democratic president...
No corporation or individual should ever pay more than 25%...
when the billionaires have no money left then you would look to the millionaires only they lost most their value when the billionaires were taken down...
so now all that is left is middle class...which no longer exist because they were employed by the billionaires who no longer have any money...
As a business owner I am well aware of what you are talking about Nuffan...
The amount I gross per year is great, the amount I net after taking off all the expense to make it is not anything remotely close to that...
And that is fair, as I am sure the accountants are making livings saving them this money. Like I said, I am only picking on Amazon and Bezos because I am an eBay fan.. simple rivalry.
Sometimes I get items from eBay that have been shipped by Amazon, it's like they are sending me a big middle finger on the side of the box rather than a smiley logo. LOL

Nancy doesn't even know who's president. She thinks its still George Bush.
I guess that speaks volumes about the impression Mr.Trump makes on Nancy...
