Twitter has permanently banned The Real Donald J. Trump account.
Not sure how to feel about this because I think that banning is the wrong direction for any platform. People can just as easily unfollow or block someone if they do not want to see their post. The whole idea that Twitter thinks it should decide what is best for me by removing that choice is a step in the wrong direction if you ask me. This is wrong on many levels and the whole idea around Twitter is to give a platform for all to exchange ideas! Trump run this country and got us out of a lot of wars and kept the country safe the past four years, what is happening now with impeachment talk just shows where the Democrats priorities are! Instead of hitting the ground running in 12 days they want to fiddle fart around with Trump! Seems every President leaves under a dark cloud, at least in the eyes of the opposing party.
I suppose it's ironic that Trump pretty much made Twitter popular and main-stream by using the service, and now they are main-stream and Twitter bans him! That is some real life sick irony right there!

Twitter has standards for its users. The incitement of a violent attempt to overthrow the government and install a fascist dictatorship in its place, violates those rules.
It also violates the oath he took when he assumed office, which is why he will be impeached again. This can't be tolerated.
No, that wasn't ok either, and actually the vast majority of the BLM people were peaceful. There were no shortage of right wing fanatics who blended in to cause chaos and destruction ie: "umbrella man"
But we are comparing apples to oranges here anyway. BLM never sought to interfere in the counting of electoral votes for the purpose of attacking democracy itself.
Black Lives Matter protesters are protesting the murder of black people... The people who stormed the Capital, many actually support the murder of black people. There was no shortage of Nazi and Confederate indicia among the seditionists who stormed the Capital.
Perhaps instead of trying to create a false equivalence between the two things in order to justify your sympathy for racists, maybe you should condemn their actions like a real patriot. When I think of patriotism, I think of the anti-fascists who died on the beaches of Normandy in order to put a stop to a right wing Nazi genocide. There were people in the crowd who stormed the capital wearing shirts that proudly displayed Auschwitz and 6MWE - which means: 6 million wasn't enough (In reference to the number of Jews exterminated by Hitler). These are not patriots, these are the absolute worst that humanity has to offer. They wear things that Hitler himself wouldn't even say publicly, and they absolutely love Trump, for obvious reasons.
Just an FYI - The people wearing such attire were "Umbrella-Men" from your ANTIFA camp that had infultrated the protest.
Most of the people there were peaceful and were just trying to exercise their rights and bring home food for their families!
I should also remind you that the word Democracy does not appear anywhere in the Constitution or Bill or Rights. I'd say these protesters were trying to defend the Republic for which they stand.

They were defending it from the kind of Nazi's who would selectively ban and attempt to overthrow a freely elected President. I'd say after four years of BS from the left, then COVID, that the protesters had a very valid point.

I think you are delusional. There were no antifa or blm people in the mob that stormed the Capital. Those were Trump's racist goons.
That you are trying so hard to defend them is all the proof anyone should need. They are being identified and arrested one by one, and so far, it's all been the alt-right and QAnon people that they appeared to be. If you have proof to the contrary I'd love to see it.
For what? So it can be dismissed like all the proof that was ignored in the election fraud cases?
How about Democrats just pull their heads out of their asses and get to work on that $2,000 stimulus check promise! Or is it going to be another Biden promise like the time he swore to cure cancer if elected? We're still waiting!
Oh, and by the way... will Joe Biden be curing COVID before or after Cancer? Asking for a friend.

Change the subject all you want, but you guys own this. Trump's legacy will rank somewhere next to Hitler. History will remember him for his racism and treason forever. I have no doubt that had you been in DC on that day, you too would have forced your way in to the Capital waving a "don't tread on me" flag.
It's a miracle that no members of Congress were killed in this. The guillotine they brought to the Capital grounds appeared to not just be a prop either. Exactly who were you guys planning to behead anyway? You know what, it doesn't matter. The coup attempt failed, and to the extent the participants can be identified, they will pay for this.
The guillotine is a new one on me, they must have only shown that on CNN because none of my news desks mentioned it. Perhaps you could dig us up a photo or video?
I seen the one of the viking horned dude and the one where they were chanting "heave-ho" trying to get in the door, but not the guillotine.
Perhaps the SCOTUS should have taken up the case, like such a high court is supposed to do when half the nation want's their day in court?
The constitution states that when tyrants get out of line it's the citizens responsibility to put them in check.
I feel the Democrats cheated in the election and that much of this COVID was by design to change voting laws at the last minute and prevent close examination. Had SCOTUS taken up the case and at least given Republicans their day in court it might have never happend.
Just a shame that people had to die, but it could have been much-much worse.

There is a lot of outrage PowerStroker and the standards ARE NOT the same.
You will find things like BLM and COVID will not matter much, nor will the MSM promote them as much now that Biden has won and the Democrats will control congress.
Trump was not willing to go "all in" when we all seen this happening. When liberal states were locking down and trampling peoples rights he should have done something! He didn't, and now he is paying that price. Had Trump been strong in March he would not be in the possition he is now. He thought he was being "fair" by letting the states trample the rights of the people but it was his obligation to stick up for ALL people regardless of political affiliation. Trump more than anyone knew what was going on but he just didn't care and wasn't willing to take any risks! That was a bad move because it looks like he is in an even worse possition now and come the 20th of this month he isn't going to have any power to stop it!

We are seeing a time of reflection on the part of corporations who have been donating to the Republican party, or even just providing them a means to connect with people. I would imagine after WWII, after the death camps were liberated and the world found out just how horrific Hitler was as a person. This was likely around the time he killed himself, but certainly there were corporations that supported Hitler and donated to his campaigns. I imagine they began a similar process of self reflection and distancing themselves from the Nazi regime they helped finance. And each time a previous corporate contributor to Hitler condemned him and cut off funding to the Nazi party, a Nazi fucker who still believed in the cause would complain about it and accuse them of censorship.
Anybody here really want to go down as being the modern day equivalent of that Nazi bitch? Is this really the hill you want to die on?
There are some that say the Holocaust never happend and there are some that claim the world is flat... I don't know if either are true or false because I wasn't alive when it happend and I have never been in outer-space.
I am on the side of free speech!
You sir, will be on the wrong side of history.

Auschwitz is still preserved as a historical place for you to visit should you ever find yourself doubting the holocaust.
There are pictures of Earth taken from space that prove it is a sphere. And if you doubt those pictures, just look at the moon any night when it isn't full... The reason it isn't full is because part of earth is blocking the sun, and the darkened part of the moon shows the round shape of the Earth.
There is plenty of non disputable evidence for everything I know to be true. Humanity didn't begin the collection of knowledge at the time of your birth. There is a vast historical record of things that happened before you were born. You not being around at the time of them happening shouldn't affect your belief in them, at least not if you have an IQ over 40.
In a hundred years, there will probably be some idiot who doesn't believe that in 2021, a bunch of racist fucks invaded the US Capitol in an attempt to overthrow democracy and replace it with a fascist dictatorship... Doesn't mean it didn't happen. At least the future version of you won't have to travel to Germany to see the evidence. The historical record will provide them with digital video footage of the actual assault, as well as the news coverage of the event. To say nothing of the Congressional record of Trump's second impeachment which shall live forever in the historical record, and yes, it will be a common knowledge conversation piece among people a hundred years from now, just as Nixon's resignation in scandal is for us.
On edit, you don't have to travel to Germany to see Auschwitz either, you can pull up footage of it from your desk at your leisure. Being ignorant of history is sad, but to make special effort to deny knowledge of lessons humanity learned the hard way, well, that's just criminal.

So exactly how soon after Biden is sworn in will he cure Cancer, because he made that claim in his campaign. Perhaps he is he going to cure COVID first? Will we get the promised $2000 stimulus checks before both? Asking for a friend.
Or will you guys be jerking us off with this bullshit for a few months?

Don't mind the glass and get to work!
Democrats have a massive shit-sandwich they made, better grin and get your eat on pal because 2022 and 2024 are on the way. You guys spend your time debating things like Womens and Mens bathrooms you'll be voted out in short order.
They need to shut up and do their damn jobs! I don't want to see Nancy Pelosi and her crocodile tears on 60 minutes, get to work on all them promises!
You never did give me an answer on that Cancer cure that Biden swore to find if he was elected.

I'm sure the Biden budget will include a massive increase in cancer research, just as Obama's included MRNA vaccine research.
No PowerStroker, that is not good enough! Biden said he was going to cure Cancer if elected President! I want him to keep his promise otherwise how can anyone trust what he says?
Did he say WHEN he would cure cancer? He could very well have meant that investments his administration makes in research will eventually lead to that end. But even if he promised it would happen during his presidency (which I see no evidence of) it would still be far more likely than Mexico EVER paying for the border wall.
The guy hasn't even taken office yet, how about you cut him some slack?

You guys aren't wrong about me being wound up over this. Democracy itself was attacked, and I can think of nothing more disturbing... Except maybe the lack of outrage on the other side of the aisle.
Lots of patriotic Americans fought and died to create and protect our democracy. Now it seems as though Rex would be absolutely fine with democracy ending, just so long as the dictator who replaces it makes it illegal for anyone with a penis to poop in a stall next to his wife.
I'm just wondering what the end game was? If your thugs actually managed to capture Pence and Pelosi, then what? Were you going to persuade him to assume powers that don't exist in the Constitution and overturn the election results, and how would that work exactly? And why the zip tie handcuffs, were you going to restrain the rest of Congress and make them all watch it happen?

With regards to the bathrooms, I can only suggest you follow the science there. If that is too much for you then please do not try and convince us you can predict the weather 10 years from now.
You keep saying "you guys" like we were there or something. We wern't there, "WE" didn't do shit!
But from what we are told, YOUR ANTIFA group are the ones who did all the damage. Right afterwards they all met up in NYC and marched there too. Just another fake crisis like YOUR COVID scam. Now that Democrats won, New York and California are opening back up! Imagine that!

My end game would have been...... "watering the tree of liberty with the blood of tyrants" T Jefferson Exactly what most of the 535 need, hold an HONEST election and start over.
Biden "won" huh. Funny the left ONLY sees a win, nothing else, not how it was won, was it fair and square.
A trans woman (a man) won womens track. Left goes "it's a win" Right goes, HUH? A guy running womens track? That's not right.
A trans woman (a man) decided he was a woman, entered the weight lifting comp and "won" Left goes "win!" Right goes, HUH? Funny thing, just after he won he identified as a man again.
That's the HUGE difference in left and right, left consider a win BY ANY MEANS a win. Honest, fair and square never enter the picture. And 2020 was FOUL
Biden didn't run the election, and neither did the Democratic party. Each state runs its own election, this way if there is any corruption it's limited instead of being nationwide. In every polling place and tabulation center there were observers from both parties. Many counties even offered a live stream video of the tabulation. The results were tabulated and reported by officials in each jurisdiction. In cases where the margin was really close there were recounts, and in some cases there were hand recounts which took the voting machines out of the picture but yielded the same results.
I know this goes against your world view, but one of the reasons the United States is a beacon of freedom for the world, is because our elections are among the most secure.
In Georgia for example, there were several recounts that came up with the same result, and then the REPUBLICAN officials that run that state certified the result.
So please forgive me if I'm curious about exactly which tyrants blood you want to use to water the tree of liberty? Because the Capitol policeman who was bludgeoned to death with a fire extinguisher by people who absolutely believe a lie, he didn't seem like a tyrant to me.

I just think the timing is very funny. I am all for mail in voting or even online voting if the same can be offered for other services like plate, title and licence renwals were also the same.
I also don't feel that just sending EVERYONE a ballot unsolicited is or was a good idea. If you vote it's because you are passionate enough to either show up or request that vote. Sending a ballot to just anyone unsolicited leaves a lot of room for clueless people to be encouraged to vote a particular way. The lack of voting down-ballot on a great many of Biden votes suggest a lot of people really had no idea. Sending everyone a ballot was done in ONLY Democrat run swing states, for the first time, using COVID as the reason to allow it.
Trump should have opened up them swing states, jailed Governors exceeding their powers and plowed right thru COVID like we do with every other seasonal cold/flu. China was for SURE in on it! I worry that Biden is beholden to China, it worries me that his son took so much money from them. If he worked for the money and was the eyes, ears and mole for us, then that would be one thing. Obviously everyone is going to try and cash in on the family name at some point, people complain about nepotisim but what kind of family isn't going to look out for one another?
The sad truth here PowerStroker is that the SCOTUS failed. They should have taken the case and disposed of it publicly rather than cowering and ignoring it. Had the SCOTUS stepped up and ruled, either for or against, then I don't think we would have seen what we seen at the capitol and Trump would have lost all traction. But they didn't, they failed us when the country needed them most. I say that as someone who would have respected their decision either way it went, for or against Trump. I was shocked when they didn't even take up the case! The entire nation was shocked.
If the United States is looking for someone to blame for insurrection, they need not look any further than the SCOTUS! The entire United States, in particular the POTUS was denied our day in court. SCOTUS could have let the steam right out of Trump had they just ruled for Biden, it would have been the exact same thing as not taking the case, except maybe Trump and his supporters could have accepted the defeat easier and earlier. Social media could have pounced earlier, Republicans in congress could have had SCOTUS backing to talk Trump down.
It didn't go down that way, the issue festered without any higher ruling. We call it the "Supreme" Court for a reason.

I'm pro LEO. Anti establishment politicians. Jefferson said it, we have the 2nd for that reason. An OVERHAUL of govt, not an overthrow. Go ahead, tell me the 535 don't need a purging. A serious one so they don't try again the shit they have pulled since JFK
We have 4 provisions. Soap box, ballot box, jury and AMMO BOX.
Soapbox, they don't listen.
Ballot box, crooked and fraudulent.
Jury box, crooked, corrupt, won't hear cases they don't want to. Blame them? Which hill you want to die on, the obama appointed judges don't want to be tarred feathered and hung as they deserve.
If the United States is looking for someone to blame for insurrection, they need not look any further than the SCOTUS! The entire United States, in particular the POTUS was denied our day in court. Trump had his day in court, several actually. Nobody is entitled to have the Supreme Court hear their case. The Supreme Court only takes a small fraction of the cases presented to it. They generally only choose to accept cases where there is some kind of impropriety or irregularity in a lower court, or if a case involves an unanswered Constitutional question for which a precedent needs to be set.

They generally only choose to accept cases where there is some kind of impropriety or irregularity in a lower court, or if a case involves an unanswered Constitutional question for which a precedent needs to be set.
Trump's cases offered neither.
Now hold on there a minute PowerStroker! The trials that Trump got in State court were not even close to fair because of the "appearance of impropriety" which is to say that asking a State court Judge to rule against his or her own states electors is a disqualifying factor if you ask me! For that reason ALONE the SCOTUS should have taken up the case!
There were lots of Constitutional questions that needed to be addressed but the States just weren't going to hear them.
Half of the country voted for Trump, that alone merits the SCOTUS to take up the case! The only people higher up than the President is the Supreme Court, their dereliction of duty caused almost ALL of this chaos. Had the SCOTUS just taken up the case and said they sided with the States then we would not have had this scenario where Trump was able to put in question the election. The SCOTUS instead decided to do NOTHING and the result was probably one of the most outragous and chaotic elections, perhaps in the history of our country! It's literally dragging on until January 20th! Had the SCOTUS ruled this could have all been avoided. Even to this day a lot of people feel the elections were not on the level, myself included! Sure, some people would have had issues regardless if the SCOTUS ruled in either direction, but that would have been a moot point because the case had been heard and verdict handed down. Like it or not, that is the law of the land.
When it comes to national elections where half the country is divided and the results fail to come in within a reasonable amount of time the SCOTUS is obligated to take up the case if you ask me! Trump and his constituents will forever be able to say the election was a sham because the SCOTUS never gave the people it's day in court. Future elections will be questioned from here on out and this won't be the last we see of this issue. That is dangerous and it only exist because the SCOTUS did not have the courage to lead. It's a shame really.

Hey PowerStroker, let's say the SCOTUS took up the case at this late hour and ruled in Trumps favor. Would Democrats riot? Would they incite insurrection? Would it be justified or treasonous?
__________________
What is to give light must endure burning -- Viktor Frankl
It wasn't just state courts that heard Trump's case. Several federal courts did too, so this idea that a federal circuit court judge can't sit in judgement over the electoral process of any given state is nonsense. Dems would only riot if the Supreme court went against the electoral college... Or if more black people are murdered by white cops... Or if someone killed a freely elected official of either party.
Actually PowerStroker, the part of the election that is in dispute is at the "national" level. Many States petitioned the SCOTUS and yet all were rejected.
The SCOTUS failed in a very big way, and they get away with this because they are supposedly the "Supreme" court.
Funny I didn't see any Democrats rioting when Scalia died (under very questionable circumstances). The body wasn't even warm before he was cremated. I suppose whatever secret society is pulling the strings at the SCOTUS probably reminded them of this. When the SOCTUS fails to perform in it's duties it causes people to wonder. I sure hope they feel it was worth all the chaos that ensued from about December thru January, all because they lacked the courage to put an end to this. Some people will say it was better for them to let it play out, and if that is the case I don't want to hear any BS about insurrection.
