I wanted to warn people who might consider opening a Goldman Sachs Apple card to buy apple products, apps, or services...
BEWARE - opening a Goldman Sachs Apple Card felt like giving away any power you might have when it comes to a problem! Goldman Sachs works for APPLE, NOT FOR YOU!
Had my most recent purchase been made with my AMEX, I could have canceled and had removed the charges for items that were not timley delivered. I could have went and purchased these items eleswhere without feeling like I had to buy them twice and return another on my dime! That is the REAL problem with the Goldman Sachs Apple card... You lose your right to take action! Even the Goldman Sachs Apple card call center is only accessible thru Apple... I tried to get their direct number from an Apple representative only to be told they can only transfer to GS in-house!
I would imagine getting unauthorized App store charges reversed would also be a challenge... anyone with a family plan knows what it's like to deal with that process outside of Apple, let alone thru a card run by Apple!
The fact remains that in my experence, the Goldman Sachs Apple card offers nothing in the ways of protection against Apple. The representatives at Apple and Goldman Sachs will waste your time and arrogantly shrug off their shortcomings at your expence.
I should also remind everyone that Apple used to use Barclays and their Apple Rewards card for their partners... in that case Barclays made clear it was the CUSTOMER who come first to Apple, so they were kicked to the curb for the shysters better known as Goldman Sachs.
Long time readers of the forum know that during the launch of the iPhone X that Barclays financed THREE top of the line units without any issue! They even gave me two years interest free to repay! And whenever I had a problem with Apple, Barclays was QUICK to come down on Apple and make them perform! The same cannot be said for Goldman Sachs! Not even for my paltry $400 order for accessories and a one year old Apple TV!
So anyone considering the Goldman Sachs Apple card, you have been warned!
All the best!
Edited to omit the "Beware" portion...

It's interesting that the people that are placed into positions-of-power, that essentially guide your economy, come from Goldman Sachs, are now in the Apple business...
Keep away for sure...
And for at least the most up-to-date privacy for your i-phones, use Duck Duck Go...Just install away for some privacy, & keep trackers etc at-bay...

Goldman Sachs recently bought out another one of my credit card companies too!
My GM Buy Power card used to be serviced by Capital One... then just recently Goldman Sachs bought them out!
Worst merge I ever dealt with! Reminded me a lot of the horror stories PowerStroker was discribing when Huntington bought out TCF!
I had to literally get in contact with them to open my online account to pay my bill! It was a COMPLETE JOKE of a take over! I wonder if GM even realizes this?
Had I not got in contact with them they would have just let my account roll past it's due date without any way to pay, or any notice from them whatsoever!
Also have NO emails from Goldman Sachs about this new Apple card they lured me into!
So far I'm not impressed with Goldman Sachs AT ALL!!! And I now have two accounts with them! Next to Synchrony, Goldman is down there in the pits with them.

Alright, I'm gonna admit... after HSBC tried to reduce me to a $500 credit limit, and the fact that Goldman bought out my GM Buy Power Card issued with Capital One, who is a longtime partner in crime, I'm starting to wonder if things don't work themselves out for the better? I mean really, as an American I'd much rather deal with Goldman than, say... HSBC... Ironic that right after I tried to buy some Apple products with Goldman, that HSBC dropped me? Despite a recent increase in credit score?
So fuck off HSBC, there is a new Champion in my wallet! Goldman Sachs!
Think I'll go on an re-order them items with my Goldman Sachs... take as much time as you need to deliver them!
And if Barclays starts pulling some shit, well... they will get canceled like their HSBC buddies!

You should have no debts, & you don't need any credit cards, since you can pay for anything now in cash, as you're cashed-up...
Get rid of all your cards :) !

I don't have lots of money, I just don't have any debt now... I used up a lot of my personal credit carrying the business thru the pandemic... I'd do it again too if needed, but I just couldn't figure out why HSBC would do what they did... They got the axe.
My relationship with Goldman got off to a rough start but it seems to have gotten better.
My items did arrive today as promised, the promotional deals with the Apple card were just too good to pass up. Put $30 in my pocket with the money I saved using the card, plus it will be paid off before any interest hits.
I'm still very upset with HSBC... but I'm not surprised... I told you guys something was going to happen, I just didn't figure it was going to be HSBC.
Looking forward to cleaning up my desk and having a proper keyboard and trac pad... the one I have now is really getting loud and hard to type with.
